WAT
Boxer Insane
I am so sorry for your loss of Branndi. It took a while for my Taylor understand Blaze was not coming back to us, she was 4 when he passed. I tried to explain about the Rainbow Bridge and how he is waiting for us there and playing with all his Boxer friends. It did finally sink in. One thing I did with the kids to help them with his passing was to have them write a message or draw a picture on a piece of paper, we tied them to helium balloons, then went to Blaze's favorite park and let the balloons go. Dalton wrote his own message, (he was 7 at the time) and Taylor dictated to me whet she wanted to tell him and she also draw him a picture. It was very sweet. We also made garden stepping stones for Blaze and Minx (she passed later in the year) from the kits you buy at the craft stores. Just a couple of ideas for you.
And as for getting another Boxer only you will know when you are ready, I thought the same as you after Minx passed, she was my girl and I thought I would never love another Boxer. Well that lasted just short of a month, the house was just too quiet without that Boxer energy in it. And now we have two new furs, not that I don't still cry for Minx sometimes, but they have eased my pain, and between them and my skin kids I don't have alot of time to think about it
I hope I have helped you some.
And again I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts....
