Stalking boxer

When i play with my boxer she stalks me like a lion would stalk its prey.

She lowers her body and ever so slowly step by step she gets closer to me and then when she is close enough she jumps on me

its so funny to watch

we have seen most all the traits mentioned here in "miss pup", she also pouts!
If we have to tell her no about something, she will go across the room and turn her back to us and refuse to look at us. It is really funny.

Don't forget getting bored and chewing up anything they can get into!!!! Just last night Roxie got into a box with styrofoam peanuts in it and when I got up this morning it looked like it had snowed in my family room!!! And there she sat just looking at me like what did I do that was so bad?????

She doesn't do the woo woo song very much though, but she barks constantly at my Yorkie. Is that normal? I think she's jealous of him. If I talk to him she barks. When do they usually start the woo woo song??? She's 5 months old.

I wouldn't trade her for the world!!!!!!

I didn't read all the posts (this is a long thread), but does anyone else's boxer grab a mouthful of dry dog food from his dish, go in the living room and spit it out (not neccessarily in one place) then go around, pick up the bits and eat them? LOL! it is so funny to watch Zeus doing this

PS - we vacuum.....a lot!

great thread

this thread is awesome! My two Boxers PUMMEL me when I get home from work each day! It takes them a good 20 minutes or so to settle down! Ever had an 80 pound dog take a flying leap on to you? A great/common description of Boxers is "clownish" behavior, this is so true!

Fuzzydog -

How funny that you mentioned the "taking a mouthful of food into another room" trick. My sister just dog sat for us for the weekend and she said that Mack was taking mouthfuls of dog food from the kitchen into the living room and dropping them in front of Duke. I can just imagine what Duke was thinking..."Man, I'm not eating that - it's been in your mouth!" LOL

Chloe lies on the floor with one paw curled up under her. She doesn't care which one it is apparently but has to have one under her.

Boxers... truly one of a kind

My boxer baby is just 5 months... anytime she hears thunder or a plane in the air she runs in and comes to find me to comfort her. Funniest thing to see her bolt in the door... of course there is the chasing her own tail and many other traits that just make my day. She lights up my day, and brings me to my senses with her antics and faces. I can honestly say my life wouldn't be complete without Sophie...

Jessie likes being in the bathroom in the morning while my boyfriend and I are getting ready for work. She will lay on the rug or just sit there and watch us. I had my clothes on the floor and she got up from the rug and layed on my clothes... I thought it was the cutest thing in the world.

And she has fallen in love with my NYR rally towels from this years NHL playoffs! LOL!
