tobie barks too...

those lovely high pitched goodbye eardrums barks...but only when he feels like he doesn't have all the attention!! :D
He does the nudging too.
He just turned 2 birthdayic on October 15, and got his cornbread cake. He hasn't calmed down any and should be called spaz and not tobie, but Rusty settled into something of a much calmer boy after his second birthday. I am hoping Tobie will calm down soon, but really there looks to be no end in site to all that energy! I sometimes have to make him down and over so I can show him I am the boss because he will get wildly aggressive when playing at times. As soon as he lays down and rolls over belly up, he calms down.:p
I can't tell you how many shin bruises and very sore noses I have received as a result of his wild antics-not that he meant to hurt me!! Has anyone but me had their boxer be running full tilt low to the ground like they do, and then have them run smack into your legs? It feels like your leg or legs are broken, if you remain standing....

Harley is the KING of "run-as-fast-as-you-can-and-see-how-many-people-you-can-take-down"..... it is as if he aims! there have been a few times that he actually taken me down.
ouch !!!

I tell you, Quinn was 3 in August and she has not calmed down yet! I love it because it keeps me on my toes, but it gets tiring after a days worth. I am happy to say that she doesn't go for the knees of anyone, which is a nice thing. She does have this thing though, when anyone says the word " cat " in any tone of voice, her ears are up and she is at every window trying to find one. It's rather amusing!:p Quinn also at the end of a long day will be sleeping and start barking:o and running in her sleep. She doesn't actually get up and run, but lyes there and makes these cute little half barks. It's so cute, but i try to go pet her when she does that so that she doesn't get too worked up.

Play time

Well Enzo is reaching four.... and play time is anytime he wants it to be. I get home from work at 1am and he is right there dancing around like a fool at the door waiting for his evening walk. After that it is time to rip around the house with any toy he can find. He will sleep most of the day away but late nights are his thing. I wish life could be as easy as a boxer dogs. :D

.he gets so excited. i love it when he paws at us as if to say im still here.
his most favourate thing to do is to push between our legs and then sits down and puts his paw out to shake hands. when we tap him on his chest he will put his paw out ,if you tap him on the right he puts his right one out and if you tap him on the left he puts his left one out.
we just love him to pieces lovicon lovicon lovicon

I am happy to hear I am not alone!!

Licking

Ok, I will confess that as a new member, I have not read all of the pages of questions and answers, so I may be repeating something here, but please bear with me. I just wondered if it is a "boxer thing" that the lick you to death. I honestly believe that I am going to die by a tongue bath!! I have 2 boxers, Chloe, who is 3 years old and her son, Oscar who is 15 months old. They lick me all of the time, unless they are asleep. Actually, most times I don't mind it, but sometimes it does get annoying. Should I be able to train them not to do this or is is just one of those things like kidney beaning, gas, thinking they are lap dogs when they both weigh about 70 pounds each, etc. Please advise if I should try to stop the licking or just live with it.

Thanks, Lori:D

In response to the licking.....do you wear any body lotion that may be attracting them?? I've never experienced the excessive licking. It is also possible that Oscar is just following Chloe and enjoying your sweet skin! Don't you feel so loved by them? Boxers make you feel good all over!

When i sit at the computer, Lily knocks my wrist off the mouse . She also jumps vertically, beans, sings the Woo Woo song, catches flies, and has been stung a few times catching wasps!

She is great at soccer and can head the ball. Sometimes we juggle it together. She steals little kids' balls.

She is very accident prone too and doesnt complain about being hurt. She bumps into poles while running and looking back at me. Stumbled into ditches, tripped both up and down stairs, scratched in the eye by my cat, and sliced her paw open climbing on an iron roof making my house look like Helter Skelter..

She doesnt like swimming, but loves the beach, showers and drinking from a hose!

She has also gotten really good at sneaking up on the sofa when my back is turned.
