my boxer is very aggressive to other dogs

does anyone have a similar problem as i do? my dog has recently become real mean to other dogs. she begins to growl and then her hair stands up and she might just sniff the dog but then all of a sudden it's holy moly, they are in a ball and I somehow manage to pull her off, but what is the deal? we have never beaten her or anything. :confused: we need to fix this or at least try to modify it

^^^I would say check with a trainer. How old is she? I know that you have to stop them early or you will have BIG problems later in life with her. My friend is a trainer and her only advice to me with my Tomi(a male) was to be ATTIMENT and in his face..not abusive, but let him know that I am the boss Goood luck..

My baby is like cooper too. Duke has the most easy to read facial expressions! He "tells" me when he is hungry or wants to play just by the look he gives me. He will run around the pool and jump up 4 feet just to see where we are. He sits on the ladder but hates to swim. Not a day goes by that I am not so thankful for this wonderful clown. Our day is full of licking bath, hopping around everywhere you walk resting his head on any and everything and running around the yard like a demon.

Izzy is the first boxer that we have had as a couple. She certainly has all of the traits described, and a few more. For example: anything she sees that is made of paper must be shredded into the smallest pieces before she is happy with it (I have the shredded god food bag in the yard to prove it). Not to mention that she is the most curious thing that I have ever seen. Her best trait however is her protectivve nature. Even in a play fight between my husband she has to get involved to be the protector. It is so cute. But never get caught giving our other dog any attention, or she will jam her head in the way, and stand on my other dog. Aren't they great

My Maxine is the same way with the attention. For those who don't know, we have Diamond & one of her daughters, Maxine. My husband thinks it's hilarious to give Diamond all the attention because Max just goes NUTS!! She starts by whining and barking and if that doesn't work, she will wedge herself in between my husband & Diamond. If that doesn't work, she starts jumping on Diamond the whole time whining as loud as she can. She also starts nipping at Diamond's back legs. You would think she was being tortured!! It really is hysterical to watch her get SOO worked up b/c her mommy's getting the attention instead of her. She also loves to chase spiders & bugs - she caught a fly in mid-air last week! And yes, she eats them too! Gotta love 'em!!!

Titus has this deal where he will just sit there and look at you and then """BAM"""" he's in you lap. I have to always keep my guard up.

I have read all of these posts over the past couple of weeks, and it's been so much fun to watch Hammer grow. He has developed most of these traits while I watch him it seems. The best being the "beaning" and the worst being the gas (although he doesn't have it much). I picked him up the other day and gas came out of both ends. LOL, he looked up at me as if to say "What did I do?"

He is so cute, and to think I bought him for my husband. I may have to have one of my own soon.....

I have an 8 week old boxer and she loves to lie on her back while I rub her tummy. She chases flies and I have caught her chasing her "docked" tail. She loves to play "tag" with my 6 year old son. She loves to chew on flowers in the Garden. And best of all she loves to fall asleep on my lap with my arm supporting her head as if it weighed 50lbs. She is a delight....lovicon

all of the above ....plus tsking the toy and shaking it side to side like a shark. I like it when we play tug of war. I sit on a chair that is on rollers and Montana pulls me around the garage.

Also when they kiss your ears and then he nibbles on the ears. I have lost a few earings that way.
