MY BOXER IS REALLY SILLY SHE LAYS IN THE GRASS LIKE SHES HIDING FROM SOMETHING LIKE A CAT WOULD THEN RUNS AT YOU 90MPH AND KNOCKS YOU OVER JUST TO LICK YOUR FACE. SO MUCH FOR PROTECTION HUH!SHES THE GREATEST DOG IVE EVER HAD AND WOULDNT TRADE THE SNORING AND DROOLING FOR ANYTHING.SHE ALSO LOVES TO JUST LIE ON YOUR LAP LIKE A LITTLE KID.BUGS WELL THEY ARE HER FAVORITE DESSERT. SO I GUESS EVERYONES DOG HAS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME TRAITS.THEY ARE KIND OF LIKE HUSBANDS AND WE DONT GET RID OF THEM NOW DO WE!

Cooper sounds great! My Harley (Beanie as my kids call him) Is 12 and still acts like a young spring chicken at times. I love the heavy sigh as he throws himself on the floor beause you are not paying enough attention to him. He is not much of a barker instead he does this mumble/sigh/whine thing he sounds like an old man some times with all the grunts and groans he makes. (well actually he is an old man)

I love it when he slimes the new company. I remember once my new sister in law ( now ex-sister inlaw) came to visit. Harley slimed her and then while she was sitting on the couch snuggled up next to her and broke wind......she never came back! :)

He still makes his rounds at night sleeping in everyones bed. My youngest son has built Harley a ramp so he can get up in bed easier. Grandma has also made him his own quilt for those cold Ohio winters..talk about spoiled! I think he thinks he is actually a human maybe because we treat him just like one of us!:D

It's so fun reading about all of these traits and seeing how much all boxers are alike!! Along with the many other things I've read, here is something sort of recent that Kit has been doing.

I bought Kit and Cooper each a peanut butter bone stick thing to chew on and a new squeaky toy. I just got the one toy so I was going to distract with the bones and just slip the toy in the basket quietly. Well, Kit spotted it on the counter first and sat down so slowly and pretty and just looked at me with her big, pleading eyes as if to say pleeeeeeease can I have that now!!!!! Ever since that moment, she has not parted with that toy. She carries it constantly, sleeps with it, takes it outside to potty with her, throws it around and barks and growls at it...it's like her all time favorite toy!! Cooper could care less--actually I think all of the squeaking gets on his nerves! He doesn't really get into balls and squeaky toys, he likes his rope the best!!

BTW - with Kit so distracted by the toy, Cooper took the opportunity to go ahead and eat her peanut butter stick after he was done with his!

They are such a riot!!!!!!! :D

I am a new Boxer Owner...ok, maybe not an owner but atleast his equal... George has most of the same traits I read about and I am AMMAZED!

George:

Has terrible Gas
Lovers our other Dogs
Sleeps in bed with us EVERY night
Likes being under the covers with head on the pillow
Jumps after the sprinkler head and other water that sprays
Chases what used to be a tail and jumps straight in the air as he circles around.
Talks "Rrrrraaawwwwlll"
Loves to go for rides and his head out the window
Sits on my lap whn the windows are rolled up
Always very very sensitive! Can not cuss around him or he heads to the bedroom.
Loves flys and Bees (they don't like him)

Most of all, he loves to float around in the pool. He walks around the pool on his back legs like a human in 3 ft of water.

Georges proud Dad!!!

This is a good topic.

Does anyone elses furbaby come and nudge you with their nose and then walk away.
Ozzy(6mths) does this to all of us, doesn't matter if we are sitting, standing whatever, I think it must be a security thing with him lol

He does:
-lays on his back with front feet stretched up in the air
-kidney beans
-does figure eights around the furniture
-uses front feet like a jackhammer to bump his toys
-uses front feet and head like a jackhammer to bounce on the mattress, thinks there is something under there.
-also uses his paws to bat at things.
Aren't they sooo adorable!!!

It's amazing how all our boxers are just the same!! My dog - Ray loves sleeping almost all day. But when he is awake, he's just the most playful dog I have ever seen. :) I guess no matter how old he grows, he will always be like a playful little child

Mugsy does just about EVERYTHING that everyone else has mentioned: gas, woo-woo, kidney beaning, HIGH vertical jump, rolling on his back, cat-pawing, pushing toys under furniture so I can get them out for him, etc.

HE LICkS EVERYTHING! ANd tried to get into the shower with us!

My Beau has all of the above traits but he also likes to jump up and wrap his paws around your thighs until you finally push him off. He will stay attached to you the whole time your walking. He also likes to put his toys under things and then come crying for me to go get them out.
