Boxer Traits

My boxer boy has most of the same traits as you guys pups do. Also Frito feet is another one to add to the list. Question- Is any else's boxer addicted to a laser light?
Common Ones:
1. Kideny bean dance
2. boxing
3. sleeps on his back
4. runs a marathon every night in the yard before bed.
5. whines if he wants something
I am glad that everyone has chosen a boxer as a part of their family. I would never have any other breed of dog!!!!!!

One to try: my dog flosses his teeth, he will grab a piece of floss out of our hand and pull it like he is flossing his teeth!!

Its so funny sitting here reading all of these posts!
My Emma is now 10 weeks old. She is a boxer/lab mix, but reading all of your posts, I am inclinded to believe that she is about 99% boxer! Emma favorite past time is to fall asleep under my desk and gas me off the computer! :eek:
She also loves to chew on shoelaces (or at least snuggle with our shoes), grab our ankles as we walk by to say "I wanna play!!!, jump straight up into the air, wants to be a lap dog (ugh!!! Shes not going to be my little girl for long), has to be touching me when she sleeps, runs around the backyard like a crazed maniac and she is starting to get sassy when she is playing with us. It's soooo cute!!! Now if only we can get her to stop raiding the trash cans! (She loves to pick thru our bathroom trash and eat the tissues!)

Aren't puppies great!!!????

Here's another for the lists: Chasing floating leaves!! This is funny off leash or until you get bursitis. A new one now that we have snow is just CHOMPING HUGE MOUTHFULLS OF THE WHITE STUFF!! as if he could eat his way back to the grass:D
now that I understand kidney beaning, my Otto seems to only know how to use the feet joints when walking, he looks like a doggie frankenstein--straight legged.
Then talk about your Pavlov! Just make him wait 5 secs for his dinner and you've got a swimming pool half filled YIKES!!
But, Otto is the most loving dog I've ever had and the cutest despite his nearly no maintenence appearance.
Have I mentioned the snoring? He's so loud my husband (a champion snorer himself) wont sleep in the same room!! He only snores with him though!!!

Subi does all the traits listed, plus she is very vocal when she plays (growling) clowicon
she loves to be right next to and always has me in her eye sight.
she also loves to go leaping off our deck (1 foot) if that but she will go to the end of the deck and jump off instead of taking the 2 steps down.
I would not trade her in for anything :cool:

My boxer seems to be very similar to everyone else's! He is notorious for jackhammering! He pounds things with his front legs and if it is you he happens to pound be ready for a bruising! He like to balance on his front legs, if you can believe it. When he gets down off of things, he'll balance all of his weight on his front two legs! It looks rather bizarre!

I dont know anyone else with a boxer!

I have a beautiful boxer named Petra who does the Woo Woo Song and KidneyBean-ing! She does so many of the other antics listed here. I've never met another boxer family; I didn't know all this was normal!! Glad to know I have a dog with a "normal" personality (for a boxer that is!!).

I hope I'm right: kidneybean-ing is that shape they bend their bodies into when they are happy. They look like the letter "C" or a kidney bean! Petra also does what we call the "wiggle walk"! When she is really happy to walk up to you she does this wiggle as she is walking towards you. Does anyone else have a "wiggle walk"?
