 Everything described my baby is guilty of...but the funny thing is he is on;y 2 months old and this is my first boxer. Being a member of the board prepared me for everything....i just didn't think he would do them all and so soon.

Lucky, my boxer supervises me when loading dirty dishes into the dishwasher (making sure nothing is left on them i guess). He would rather drink out of the toilet than his own personal water bowl. He throws his food bowl around the house and chases after it. At night, he has to sleep on a pillow. I get the Woo Woo Song after about the third or fourth time of asking to go outside. If he has to go bad, we get the kidneybean dance. Early riser and verrrrry nosey, he follows me everywhere i go in the house and will dig in the trash when i turn my back. If he takes something out of the trash, he runs to his kennel like he's stole something. In the mornings, he rolls around on the carpet on his back and uses his front paws to rub his face at the same time. EVERY time after eating, he wipes his face on his bed and after drinking water, he just has to come and sniff on me with slobber mixed with water all over his jaws. He also rests his neck on my lap. I love all that about him and would not trade it for the world.

We found Lucky about 6 months ago. The vet guessed him to be about 3 months old at that time. We were wanting a dog, but had not even considered a boxer, so we're new to the world of boxers. What is the woo-woo song and the kidney bean. He turned out to be such a wonderful, loving dog that we're tryng to find another one.

When I first found this site I was thrilled. I had just "inherited" a gorgeous 7 year old boxer. She is a dream. I cant remember life without her. The traits listed here are an exact match to my girl Ginger. I just have 1 question. What is "kidney bean" ? Does it refer to anatomy or the cute little "u" shape she makes when I come home?

Yes, it is the U dance they do when they're happy :)

Bandit seems to share all these characteristics, and then some- he's such a goofball! He has also learned to morph the "woo-woo" into "mom mom mom" It's sooooo cute!

Could this maybe be a new one??? Bandit will eat his bowl of food, and then he'll rub his face and body on anything soft-the couch, the carpeted stairs, the bed. I wish I knew how to describe it it is so weird.

I had to laugh when everyone was sharing their boxer traits because they too were very familiar to me.....especially the gas thing. My Kobe loves to snuggle up beside either myself or my fiance when he goes to sleep. He also loves to race around the apartment and jump on the furniture. Kobe also pounces alot...especially at me because he wants to play rough which we don't allow. He knows when he has done something wrong because he'll go to a corner and just sit there and look at us with those big puppy dog eyes. He's only 11 weeks but already thinks he's a big tough dog! You gotta love boxers!!!!!!

:) Is it not a trait of Boxers to have an almost physic ability to know where your next step is going and be there just as you take it. I have two now and every morning they each trip me one in a sixty-five pound way and the other in a ten pound way. I don't think I will have a chance when they weigh the same.
