Just thought of another one. My husband and I call each other mommy and daddy, and we don't have skin kids.

i do too.... and it's kind of sad but tank is a big part of my life. if people aren't comfortable with him then it really limits the amount of time i can spend with them. it's not like it's intentional, but he is my responsability......

Ditto! And as to the family thing, mine are coming around slowly. For the past year I have had very few visitors. But my guys are getting better about meeting (jumping on) new people and their manners get better with every visit! I just pass out drool cloths to the ones that think a little Booker drool will kill them!

As a boxer owner, I have learned to laugh every single day, and I know that's a trait that all of us here have!! You can't help but laugh at these silly critters!! So therefore, humor has to be a boxer owner trait!

Sharon, Mom to Hammer, Ginger & Booker (the drool monster)!

Boxer Buddy
I bought a house and moved away from my parents and my boxer "sister" when I was 18. 6 days after moving in to my house, I brought home baby boxer ZsaZsa. I just couldnt live without a boxer! Now at 21, I have all of my friends over my house instead of going out so that my babies can have fun with all of us. I hate the messes that I have to clean up the next morning from my friends but it is worth it!

ps- We pick the girls up all of the time. Everyone thinks that we are crazy because of how big they are but they still love to be held! As we were holding them in the vet's waiting room, one vet commented on us and said that she hasnt met any breed's owners that love their dogs as much as boxer owners! I thought that is so true!

-carrying a "diaper" bag (filled with toys, treats, wipes, poop bags and water) everywhere we go

-pictures at work and on both (office & home) of my computers

-BOXERWORLD freak!! I'm addicted!! :o

:) That there even IS a BoxerWorld!!

All of the above, plus -

One can of dog food lasts two days so I warm up the half of the can of dog food from the day before in the microwave so it isn't unpleasantly cold for Scrapper in the morning.

Boxers sure have a way of getting into your head, don't they?

I agree with all of the boxer owner traits and a few more:

When comming home from work, boxer gets about 15min of love and attention and baby talk; then notice hubby in room and give a quick kiss and get back to the baby!

Hubby and I always talk in a different voice that is supposed to be Muggsey's voice talking to us. Muggsey has a high voice and sometimes a foul mouth if he doesnt get what he wants!

We talk about the dog park like it is a soap opera. Each day brings a new episode with new gossip and new dogs.

I have a family picture framed on my desk which consists of me, hubby and Muggsey. Yes I have a child, he is right there in the picture!
