Completely Boxer Crazy
Most of my injuries do happen in the yard. That is when they really get the "burn" on.

Right now they are in the living room doing their nightly "Wide World of Boxer" match. I giggle as I write this.

I was in a car crash 5 years ago and as a result I have arthritis in my SI joints (aka "bum" joints, where your tailbone and pelvis attach). Anyway, last winter I was going in for physio, chiro, xrays, bone scans, you name it. They told me to go for walks to gain some strength and flexibility in my back. So I took my 3 out to the dogpark in the middle of winter (it was about -25 C at the time). I was the only one there and they all started burning around and knocked me down on the ice! I couldn't get up! I thought for sure I was going to freeze to death out there. I was crying at the thought of the terrible death I was about to suffer and laughing at the same time because they were all licking me. You know when they lick lick lick and you start laughing and they lick even harder and try to lick in your mouth and nose and it is so gross you can't help but laugh harder?? Well that was happening. Finally I got myself up and went to the hospital. I told the Dr I was knocked down by 3 wild dogs at the dog park. He was so appalled. He said "Did you get the name of the owner?" and I said "Yup, me". He must have thought I was crazy.

We sure are suckers for punishment to live with this crazy breed.

Muggsey split my head open right next to my eye the other day. He had the big hard knot from his bone in his mouth and I was playing "I'm gonna get it" with him. He swung his head around and clocked me in mine! Blood everywhere, me crying, hubby yelling "what happened" and Muggsey trying to lick me to say he was sorry!! I also have numerous lovely bruises on my legs and my arms too. I definately look like a battered wife. I told my husband that if he doesnt behave I'm gonna tell everyone he did it!!! You have to be very tough to live with a boxer!

You won't believe this but I actually had to start taking some vitamins to help with all my bruising on my legs - which happen to be just about the size of Rocco and Adrianne's paws!! Seems like my husband or I have a new bruise every week! Most of them happen in bed when Rocco and Adrianne decide to jump up and wake us up in the morning and then start running around the house in a burn and jump on the bed, and then off again around the house, and then back up with us on the bed!

They are such nutballs kingicon, but we love them so so much! I don't know what I'd do without them

Ozzy burns too but I get out of the way and its always outside thank goodness. It seems to happen when I take the lawnmower out??? he squats down and looks at it and off he goes, around the pool and out the gate around his side of the yard and back and around again  nobody has met him coming throughthe gate yet

I'm sporting a big scratch with a bruise from when Lily got excited because we had visitors. I'm just glad she got me rather than my sister or brother-in-law.

Gee, I'm glaad it isn't just me. I've had the usual scratches and bruises from wrestling with our four, but the worst that I've had is concussion when I was taken down by a boxer on a mission. Thank god he did because our supposedly not pregnant girl had one puppy that afternoon when I should have been at netball. As I was home I was able to make sure the pup was ok and kept it and mum out of harms way.

Just gotta love our boxers and their crazy antics.
