Wow Dora...what a tragedy for anybody to witness but for a small boy such as Christian! My prayers are sent to Christian to give him strength to get through this difficult time! His teacher is a God-send really. Christian was devastated by the loss of a life..a little boys mommy that could have very well been you. Feeling new life inside his teacher may have given him a sense of peace...ya know? One life lost...another new life to celebrate? One thing is for sure...Christian can get through anything as long as he has you...you're an awesome mom! (((HUGS))) to you and Christian! You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear that you and your family had to behold such a tragic scene. I was an EMT for several years, and it changed my perspective on life so dramatically. I could only imagine how it affected your boys, especially considering what they have endured in the past. I too, will be praying for all of you. Tell Rocky to keep that little butt wiggling, because the healing power generated by a flying nubby is absolutely tremendous!!!

I hope your son is hanging in there. This is a horrible thing to happen and it is very hard for children because they just don't understand. When my nephew passed away a couple of weeks ago my son became very sullen and angry and I was not sure what was wrong. After the viewing we were all in bed at my mom's house and he crawled into bed and asked me lots of questions and I was completely honest with him and it sure seemed to help. Give him hugs from us.

I just found this thread today. Your poor son, I can relate a little b/c he is the same age as my daughter. I can't imagine how hard this must be on everyone. I am in a new prayer group that has started at my daughters school. We pray for any family's that ask and need them. If you would like I will pass your story on to our group.

Christian is slowly getting back to normal. He lost a tooth this week and was excited about the tooth fairy coming. He is also having spirit week at school and is enjoying himself wearing backwards shirts, crazy socks, crazy hats to school. We have not talked about it much, but he seems to have settled down and accepted what has happened. We are not watching the news anymore during the day and I have played scrabble with this child until I am ready to toss out the scrabble boardbecause he loves this game so much!

I hate that he is learning/maturing before my eyes so much of the sad stuff, but I too have to deal with this and let him be. Thanks for all the support...that prayers are free here means more than you will ever know! Having said that watch me win the lotto!

I am glad to hear that things are getting back to normal for you. Dora, you are doing a wonderful job as a Mom. Not that I have kids to know this for sure but its sounds like you have done everything right. Something to think about is that along with your son needing and wanting to talk about what happened, it sounds like you may need to too. Talk with your husband or a friend or us if you need to. Dont be afraid to talk about your feelings in fear of your son. He doesnt have to know. You deserve the same support that you have given your son. Please take care of yourself. ((((hugs))))
