Completely Boxer Crazy
Almost happened to us when we went to pick up Rowdy. We just had left and I was talking about how cute the puppies were. Then BF said well we could have got 2. I was so shocked he said this and mad that he didn't say something sooner. Ha.

lol, well price alone kept us from getting two. i should have asked if she could give me a 2-fer deal haha.

and thank you everyone for the kind words. i can't wait to have a dog back in our lives.

we're having dinner with my grandparents next sunday and i'm debating on wether it's ok to bring her along or not. they have 8 acres near woods with some livestock (5 sheep) but we'll be spending the whole time in the privacy-fenced pool area where there's just a little bit of grass here and there- mostly bushes and flowers. i'm not so much worried about her picking up fleas because I can easily comb her, but i am concerned about ticks (our area is a red zone for ticks and lyme disease). my grandparents invited us to bring her along but i'm not sure it's a good idea until she at least has her flea preventative and lyme vacc if we choose to get it. what do you guys think?

I think you can take her with you. Should she really get a tick just remove it right away and the risk of getting a tick born disease is close to zero. By the way my pups still get ticks, even with frontline. From what I heard it doesn't stop the tick from biting, it just kills them and they fall of (if not removed before that happens).

PS: Do you really think you will be able to leave that sweet bundle of joy behind.... even for a few hours :) :) :)
I know I wouldn't!

oh trust me, i definitely dont want to leave her behind :) going back to work monday will be hard enough lol. my dad is retired, so he'll be puppy sitting for a while during our working hours. they have a chocolate lab for her to play with too.

i can't remember ever finding a tick on my boy with the Advantix we used, but his brindle coat could have easily hidden them until they bit and fell off. it should be a little easier spotting them on her. still on the fence about the vaccine too. those 8 legged little buggers creep me out...
