I remembered some more.

The penny one, but I always pick it up even if it is tails up. See "A" penny pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck!

I have never done the pork and saurercraut (sp?) on New Year's Day. (just can't stand the smell)

All aluminum can tabs must be turned to the right. (for what I can't remember)

Maybe I am not superstitious, but a little obsessive compulsive....LOL

Having lunch I bit my tongue real bad.
Just now going to wash the bath tub I turned on the water to put some in the tub and the shower was left on and I got an earful of water and got soaked, just waiting now for number 3 !!

I am a little bit about the number 13. I won't go to bed or get up if it's 13 after the top of the hour. Just wait a minute or two until the unlucky 13 is not showing on the clock. Silly, huh?
OMG! I just realized this is post 13! Now how do I ward off bad luck for today after that mistake? :D

I dont believe in superstitions, my husband and i have 4 solid black cats () i walk under ladders as so does my husband and i broke our huge mirror when we moved and we have had nothing but GREAT LUCK!

Oh yes...here are a few more that have been drilled into my head since birth!!

NEVER open an umbrella in the house...and for PETE'S sake..NEVER hold it upside down!!

NEVER set new shoes on the table or a purse...brings bad luck!

ALWAYS pick up pennies as you walk...not only are they good luck...but they could very well be pennies from heaven...a loved one saying "hi"!

Never hang a horse-shoe upside down...all the luck runs out of it!

Bringing an elephant ornament with it's trunk UP, to Bingo, increases one's chances of winning...uplifted trunk brings good fortune! (Gramma had about 20 of 'em lined up above her cards and never one a penny!)

Don't step on cracks or you'll break your mamma's back!! (my brothers & sister must not have paid attention to that one..mom has had back surgery..it was never broken..but badly bent!)

I'm sure there are tons more, but these are the ones that have stuck with me through the years! The things we are taught in childhood can often lead to therapy in adulthood!

i'm quite bad too

have never broken a mirror
won't do the walking under a ladder thing
my mum always told me not to put an unbrella up in the house...... or shoes on a table both bad luck.
I say good morning/afternoon/evening if i see a magpie on it's own.... one for sorrow
i do the sholder thing with salt
The touch wood thing if i almost jinx something.... like if i say it has been a really good day i'll then say touch wood and do it.... so the day doesn't turn bad!
oh and the penny thing to with the wee song "find a penny pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck"

i hate friday 13th aswell normally have a feeling on impending doom although nothing bad has ever happened to me on this day!

maybe i'm just mad!
