Are You Superstitious????

I was just wondering how many of you out there are superstitious? yes or no and what superstitions do you beleive in? I am to an extent, I do the if you knock over the salt shaker you have to ward of evil spirits by throwing salt over your left shoulder. I don't walk under ladders, don't kill spiders unless I want it to rain passing in front of a black cat, makes me shiver. Breaking a mirror, hasn't happened yet thank God. So tell me yours!!

My mother always told me if I left my arms out of my blankets the boggeyman would get them, old wives sayings are just as bad!!

I totally am! I get it from my mom... the salt shaker thing for sure, ladders, black cats, and knocking on wood. It makes me totally uneasy when I see someone else spill salt and not do anything about it!

I never kill a cricket in the house...brings bad luck. The spider in the shower with me did have to die! If a black cat crosses my path(car) I put an X on the windshield for every person in the car, so no harm will come to them. I knock on wood, don't split poles. I am sure there are probably more, but I can't seem to think of them at this moment! But you are not alone!

I do the touch wood thing all the time. I didn't know about the x's on the windshield for black cats though, thanks for that one. See a pin and pick it up and then all day you will have good luck! see a pin and let it lie then good luck will pass you by! that one is for safety pins!

I am somewhat...I knock on wood, and do a few others. When we used to have trains here, I would lift my feet everytime going over the tracks, (good luck). Although I did walk under a ladder last night helping to hang xmas lights!

My biggest one is NEVER set your purse on the floor unless you want to lose your money!

I knock on wood. I hold my breath while driving past graveyards. Don't step on cracks in the sidewalk (hard to do while walking a dog). Always enter the shower on the left side, (so as not to suffer from hair loss).

I do that so I don't shoot myself in the head with water! I did not know it was a superstition!

I am somewhat superstitious. If I see a penny on heads I'll pick it up, and seeing the red cardinal is the ultimate good luck sign for me. I always wear my "redbird" sweatshirt when there's a dr.'s appt., just in case!
