Are there other breeds that are "cuddlebugs" as much as boxers??

I don't have much experience with living with other breeds of dogs and was just wondering if there are other breeds with similar characteristics when it comes to cuddling?? Layla's cuddling borders on the ridiculous sometimes:rolleyes: --although I wouldn't have it any other way! She has to be "on" us in some fashion when we are sitting on the couch. If I am sitting with my lap top on the couch and there is a whole empty section on the other end, she will climb on me and the laptop to get on the couch and cuddle under my arms with her head on the keyboard. If I move her she is right back under my arm in five seconds!! I want two boxers someday but couldn't imagine the cuddling sessions!!:D :D

The absolute most joy of my life is sitting on the couch with both my boxer girls on either side of me, cuddled up and snoring with their heads in my lap.

If heaven doesn't measure up to this, send me straight to 'you-know-where' immediately.

Get a Boxer, 2 are easier to take care of then 1 also the way they play is a joy to watch. We have three and it gets hetic sometimes but we wouldn't have it any other way.

I don't know if all boxers are alike but I know when Penny gets tired and we are on the couch she will jump up on the couch next to one of us and cuddle up to sleep she will be 3 months old on tuesday

I'm with everyone else. Boxers are the best! I wouldn't want it any other way! We're thinking about two also. Would never put the cuddle bug syndrome on the con side of the paper:D

boxers are definitely THE best cuddlers.
I haven't personally had much experience with other breeds either, having had only yorkies growing up, and boxers since then. But having spent time with family and friends who have other breeds, there's no match for a boxer cuddlebug.

My 3 are compulsive cuddlers. There's no such thing as sitting next to you, they have to be ON you, or at least touching, or leaning LOL

Copper..all 90+ pounds of him still thinks he's a little lap dog and will try desperately to sit on top of me, and insists on cuddling right along side me at night, with his head resting on me somewhere or other.
Belle snuggles in between the husband and me, as does Holly the 11 week old pup.

The bed gets a little crowded at night, but trust me when I say we're never cold! And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have to agree Boxers are total cuddlebugs and having two only makes the cuddle pleasure that much better

Before our boxer addiction, I did take in a 3 yr old Springer Spaniel. He originated from BC, was moved to Ontario with the original owner (made the trip in the back of a pick up :eek: ) at some point was bounced out of the pickup and received some trauma to the head. :eek: When I heard about him the original owner had given him to a garage owner to be used as a guard dog, but a guard dog he was not Max moved in with us, and he was a total total love/cuddle bug!! In fact in some ways he was more cuddly than my boxers are. I LOVED that dog. He had a standing app't with the groomers every 6 weeks and he was Gorgeous!! He was Liver and White in colour and a tad bigger than most springers. Max died at the age of 6 from a brain tumor, possibly caused by his accident years before, who knows, but if all Springers are like him then yep they are just as cuddly as our much loved boxers are.

Boxers of course are the best.

I have found that Border collie mixes are very sweet. Always intent and watching your face. Have to be near you. The huge difference is that they are very obedient. But I've come to love a boxer with a mind of it's own. It shows spunk that in a weird way I have come to sort of respect. But yes, a border collie will love you forever and is very loyal. Your best bet of course is a Boxer I am currently looking for a buddy for my boxer puppy right now. I'm checking the boxer rescues, and I also volunteer at the local shelter. Good luck!

Having been owned by alot of breeds. Cuddlebugs..
Boxers- I am still amazed at how much Layla loves kids and people.I dont have any and she will whine and cry and stalk a child until they giggle.. Very much a family oriented breed,
Dobermans-running a close second to Layla is my dear departed Lexus-she was my shadow-a 55 lb lap dog that loved everyone.
Bulldog--Now you want a lap dog that is a big as a boxer. Sumo is the same weight as layla and I swear she takes up much more room. She is only 14 inches tall to Layla's 21 inches..
Bullmastiffs-what a great breed they are in between my two in energy levels but they love their family's
Last but not least-Great danes-Justice had my heart the day I brought him home-They are huge dogs but if you have a couch you have room b/c that is where they want to be next to you on it.
We have also been owned by 2 shihtzus, a lab/dalmation mix and a persian cat. they were not cuddle bugs.

Nikki, Layla and Sumo who are cuddling with each other b/c I am on the computer..

My Am Staff Caesar was a big time cuddle bug. He would sit on the couch like a person and stretch his arms out for hugs. He always had to be touching someone and was never far from my side. He was also a horrible bed & blanket hog and would sleep
touching my legs every night. He was every bit as affectionate as my Molly boxer but not as hyper. He tended to be very lazy.
