Both of my boxers are chewers. Diesel is 3 years old now and has gotten much much better. Daisy on the other hand is only 2 and she is not to be trusted in the house alone. She chews anything that she can sink her teeth into!!!

We have learned to put things up and out of their reach. However, we did lose quite a few things. Remote controls were their favorite. Of course, the kids don't have very many stuffed animals that have both of their eyes or a nose. My daughter has lost most of her barbies to the dogs also. Oh well, live and learn!!!

Rocky is not bad with the chewing- only when left alone at home and not in his crate, but even than he never chewed furniture- but he has a lot of chew toys.

My female Nessa who is almost 4 is a chewer, she likes remotes, cell phones, slippers, hats etc with the result she is always crated when we are not home and she has a huge selection of chew toys to keep her happy and away from inappropriate things :)

My male on the other hand never chews - I don't think its a breed thing just a personality thing.

Bailey is not a chewer, but she is also in the crate while I'm gone. My lab was a huge chewer as I did not crate train her when she was a puppy. Chewing is usually a habit from boredom so as long as they are entertained and crated when you're gone, it's usually not a big problem.

no chewing here...

Wow, I guess we're one of the lucky ones too....we've never had a problem with Marley chewing stuff that wasn't his own. We got him from a rescue when he was about 1 1/2, so maybe he was past that stage?? Now that he's three, he's got the run of the house all day and still no problems. Good boy! We're so proud. :)

We never had a problem with Tyton chewing until recently when we got a puppie that chews. I guess he thinks if it's okay for her to do it then it must be okay for him. (Silly boy he couldn't be more wrong)

Justice chews on baby pacifiers and baby toys (probably since they are always on the floor). At 10 months that's about all she chews. I think she has a hard time distinguishing them between her toys (like her tire and her kongs).

The only thing Beau LOVES to chew on is wood. That's not such a great thing in my house. He has nearly destroyed my papasan chair frame and a wicker chair in my living room. He will even stick his head in the fireplace to retrieve pieces of wood to chew on and loves to raid my bag for pencils. I've never talked to anyone else whose boxer does this, so hopefully it's an isolated case and you won't have to deal with it!!!

The only time I ever HAD a problem with Sirus chewing was "nervous chewing". When we would leave him out as a puppy...before we figured out that we NEEDED to kennel him...he would chew on things. Slippers, the couch, the lazyboy...yeah...he was a mess! Not so much anymore...he still gets seperation anxiety...but doesn't chew anymore. Broke him of that quickly!!!
