Any Tattoo's?

I have 5 tattoos and want more, I have one on my left shoulder blade that is a dolphin jumping over a wave with a setting sun in the back ground, a dolpin jumping out of a red rose with a wave surrounding it on my left ankle, a sunflower on my right ankle and a butterfly in the center of my lower back with tribal designs coming from the sides and last but not least I have a heart with tribal and my husbands name on my neck. The sunflower was my first one, I done it as a dare to the dh, he was getting one and kept bugging me that I would cry, well I said "if I can have 2 kids I can handle a tattoo, I was right I can.
. The dh has 3 but has actually had 4, his first one was a 50.00 Rebel Flag he bought with his graduation money in 99. BIG mistake, he went for price not work and it sucked so he covered it with a black panther head with a banner around it with my name and our sons names, the has a black tribal armband and an eagle with an american flag with the name Tilley underneath it, Tilley is our last name.

I had 5 tattoos lasered off a couple years ago and even after 10 sessions, they never fully went away....
I have decided that I am going to get them all covered up and today I talked to an artist who is going to draw a design for me. I decided to go with the oriental look, mostly flowers. I am getting a quarter sleeve done on each arm (upper arm) which will flow into my upper chest. My arms with have flowers and my chest will have koi.
I am soooooo nervous, mostly because its been a long while since I have got inked and I am just worried about how it will look even though I have seen the artists work. The ones I got lasered off I got done when I was only 17 and I ended up hating them! Oh, and even though I am 25 now, I am really worried about my parents reaction! They are very old fashioned in their thinking and I will prob end up covering them up when I visit them!

I have a japanese martial arts tattoo across my lower back.

I got it after passing my black belt test.
I don't wear clothes that show it off.... ever.
The only people to see it are my husband and myself.
I think, even my family and close friends forget that I even have it.
It hurt
but I lived.
and, I think I would not get another one.
Unless
I accomplished something like a black belt again.
but since my hobbies are orchids and violin...
I don't see that being a problem.

I had my first sitting for my sleeve tattoo last Friday! 3.5 hours just to do the outline! It was supposed to be a quarter sleeve but turned into a half sleeve!! It flows into my chest which I also decided to get flowers on. It is mainly all oriental style flowers with some waves here and there. I can't wait for the color and shading, well not the pain, but to see the full effect. I have already gotten comments on my decision on placement not very lady like but I think its perfect.... DH likes it alot but thinks I am crazy!

Good for you! People shouldn't judge others for what they do with their bodies. My husband also thinks I'm crazy! My leg sleeve is now about one third finished. My dragon is just about complete and I just started my next major piece on the back of my thigh. It's the Japanese Fu Dog and extends from the top back of my knee almost to the bottom of my butt. The outline and shading took about 3 1/2 hours as well. The toughest thing I'm finding about getting a sleeve is the time taken. I've had about 17 hours work done so far. Also, the back of the leg doesn't hurt too much, it was the back of my knee that was excruciating!

I have three ... a violin and musical notes on my shoulder (I'm a musician) and a japanese symbol "live for today" on my hip (I'm kinda of a scaredy cat to try new things so that one was kind of inspiration to myself!)

I have two tattoos but would love more. I love the pain associated with getting a tattoo. The tattoo on my lower back I drew. It is a Butterfly with tribalish art on the sides of it. I let a local tattoo artist shade and color it in. It is pink and purple... beautiful! I also got a matching heart with my cousin. My Mom told us it made us cousins for life! :D Anyway my DH and I went in and I had the same artist make it into a shooting star with purples, pinks and white ink. Looks great! I am waiting for my brother but we plan to get tattoos to memoralize our Mother who passed in 2004. I want to either get the word Serenity in script on my right foot or the entire Serenity Prayer on my side.
My DH has a terrible armband he got when he turned 18 that we both hate. He hopes to cover it up it is a tribal sun that looks like a blue flower with crab claws next to it. :D He also has tribal art on his upper back below his collar line. He also has a nautical star on the back of his left leg that is sexy IMO.
I love tattoos, it just takes time and money. :D
