I have 10...both upper arms--basically almost "1/2 sleeves" from shoulder to elbow (4 on one, 3 on the other), one on my mid-back, one on my shoulder, and a large japanese panther on my right lower leg/calf from ankle to knee (my favorite!). most of mine are traditional style tattoos taken from the 30s-40s era and designs. The one on my leg hurt the most (really bad!) and took a total of 9-10 hours (3 separate appointments at 3-3 1/2 hours each). the other ones hurt a bit--mostly like a bad stinging cat scratch...
My husband has "full sleeves" on both arms--shoulders to wrists, his chest, one on his back (his first and its crappy and big!) and a couple small ones on his left leg. And he's itching to add more!
I'll admit as I get older, mine do add a bit of complication to the work thing occassionally-not so much while I was working as a vet tech but now that I am transitioning into a more "grown up" field they do get in the way...I just keep them covered in work situations--otherwise I really don't care what others think, I got them for me, not anyone else!
