Annoying tongue clicking?

I never even thought about moistening the kibbles. How much water are you using?

Nena doesn't seem to be doing the licking that often now (a week later?) but I still notice it every once in a while.

I have the same issue I switched sash from canidae to innova and she seems to be almost choking and she even barfed alittle bit each time but only happens when she is sleeping at night.

You have to be careful if moistening kibble.
Here's something I copied and pasted from a reply of gmacs on another post.

There is a proviso on soaking kibble though - you need to check which preservatives are used. If the food contains citric acid, you should *not* pre-moisten it prior to feeding (doing so increases the risk of bloat by around 300% - and bloat is a condition that is frequently fatal. So a pretty darned good reason not to soak the food). There is no other known association between pre-moistening kibble and bloat, however, so if there is no citric acid in the food, it's down to pure individual choice.

I think you are describing a sound that Chico makes all the time. He always has. It is like his tongue is stuck to the top of his mouth. It kind of sounds like a person slopping or smacking food. Sort of a combination of all. Chico does it when he eats, yawns, or when his mouth is watering for a treat. He has always done this. Our other Boxer, Bella has never made this sound and they eat the same food and always have water. They too eat TW. I don't think it is anything to worry about.
