I'm afraid he really isn't any better and to top it off he is now peeing alot, which I knew would happen. I barely got him out in time this afternoon and he peed on the sidewalk right in front of door. Poor Markus!

Unfortunately the prednisone has not worked. I spoke to my vet tonight and the decision has been made to put Markus to sleep. It's the best thing that I can do for him. I don't want him to suffer any longer. He will be going to the rainbow bridge at 10.45am on Friday. :(

Oh Jan, I'm so sorry :( My heart goes out to you. It is a hard decision to have to make, but is also the last, greatest gift you can give to dear Markus. I will be thinking about you.

Even now that you must help him to the bridge, you are putting Markus' needs before your own.
