11 week old with a tumor already?

Zeke is only 11 weeks old and on Thursday I was looking around in his mouth...his breath has been bad and I thought maybe he was getting some new teeth. I found a small round flesh colored ball on the bottom of his mouth, under his tongue and just behind his lower front teeth. We took him to the vet the next day. They said they don't know what it is...possibly papilloma virus or a tumor. It doesn't look anything like the pictures I found of papilloma virus. He is going in on Thursday to have a biopsy and remove the growth.

Has anyone ever heard of a 11 week old with a tumor or cancer? I'm SOOOO worried!!! I would appreciate any thoughts or advice on the situation.

No I haven't, but that is awfully young to be having such problems. Now it is just a waiting game till you get results from the biopsy. Sending you lots of prayers, I know you must be scared out of your mind. Cody and Aniah send some gentle ~~~~wiggles~~~~ to your sweet baby.

Thanks for all the good thoughts! We have decided to get a second opinion from a vet recommended to us by our local boxer rescue. We go this evening...hopefully he'll have a better idea of what this is!

Otherwise, you'd never know there was something wrong with Zeke....he's just as crazy and playful as ever!!
