I've been wondering the same thing. My boy, Rufus is a big guy (3 yrs...90 pounds) and he's a very fast breather...even when resting...and even when it's cool or in the A/C. My vet keeps telling me he's okay and not to worry about it, but I'm so paranoid since his sister, Ripley, passed away...

Hi everyone, We just brought home our new puppy Grady yesterday. Our 3 year-old Rufus was never alone until we lost his sister. Even when Ripley was here, Rufus was the alpha. I'm wondering how long it can take for the dogs to feel each other out. Grady is only 8 weeks and very playful...

We're not "Doodle" folks, but Rufus is Rufus Pie...or RuRu...or Dufus (he kind of is sometimes!)...or Ruby Luby...or Boobers (looks bad in writing, but it rhymes with Rubers, which came from the "Ruby Luby" name) Geez! This is confusing...I think I have too many names for my big ole' love bug!

Rufus (and Ripley when she was here) LOVE lotion. I too have to run away from them after putting it on. Over the past three years, we've gone through many sets of cordless phones, a few TV remotes, a couple wallets, sunglasses, and plastic hangars...but these are things that are just chewed...

I have one big boy... Rufus...3 years old...90 pounds exactly! And the vet has cleared him as being "large framed"...he's not overweight.

I think Violet is a great name! So cute. You could call her Vi or ViVi for short. Another variation on Riley is Ripley. We had the best girl named Ripley... She's a gorgeous girl! Congrats...

Oh I LOVE Reece...but unfortunately, hubby vetoed that one. I also love Carson...but he doesn't feel it's masculine enough for his tastes. The thing that gets me is, he's a police officer and he's more concerned about what the guys at work think of the name than how WE feel about it. UGH...
