Hi there! Thanks for adopting a furry friend! My DH and I just adopted our first on Saturday and it has been an awesome few days! Welcome to BW - so many good people and boxers to meet! Wiggles and ruff from Nissa-Joy!

What a nice way to be welcomed to the community!

Also nice to know that there may be some chances for local get-togethers for us! I'll make sure I post some photos very soon. I'm still trying to work with the new guy and his methods of "playing" with our cat. It's been a bit crazy over here.

Now I need to go find some good names for the new one...

Don't miss out on that offer. Samson and Samantha are so much alike and I wish thye gcould get together, but we live on opposite sides of the country so consider yourself lucky;).

Keep us updated when you come to a decision on a name and when you are ready for a play date I am right around the corner. :)

About a possible playdate - when BF and I come down to visit Laura, we will have to set something up to meet. I would love to have Emma meet Rufus and John Doe.

About names - if you type white into the search engine - there are posts about white names.

Why I've been absent

Hi guys!

I wanted to post an update...and an explanation as to why I"ve fallen off the face of BW.

After a couple hard weeks with little JD, we made the difficult decision to return him to the rescue. He was a great dog...but his prey drive was VERY strong and he tried to kill our cat several times. We spoke with trainers and gave it everything we could. I feel bad about our decision...but it had to be made. The good news is, he was adopted by another family when I returned him!

So, we've made the decision to start over with a puppy (the cat will have plenty of time to train this one! ha ha!) WE selected one just today. He's a brindle with a tiny bit of flash. As of today, he's only 2 days old. We'll be bringing him home in 8 weeks.

I've excited about this and I'm sure Rufus will be glad to have a buddy again.
