    White boxer, Ugly Tears.. Help!

Why would you want to take a dog to the vet for eye stains? They are utterly harmless, even though it is not the prettiest thing to look at. As for it being related to diet, all I can say is every dog is different. Both my dogs are white and eat the same diet. Spenser has no tear stains, whereas...

    Bumps on muzzle

I second the advice to use SS dishes and wash frequently. Spenser used to get puppy acne on his head where he would rub against the side of his bowl. Vet said to not worry about it, but it didn't get better. As soon as I switched to stainless steel, and washed after every meal, that was the last...

    Tear stains

Pamommy, I have 2 white boxers. Coach has dark stains under his eyes and Spenser hardly has any. So obviously diet isn't the only factor, as they eat the same food. I've seen other white boxers without any stains. Karen in Il

    Tear stains

People have said that a tablespoon of raw pumpkin (the unsweetened kind) in their food will help. Not sure how long you have to use it to notice a difference, but the dogs certainly seem to enjoy it! KAren in Il

one eye gets blood shot when he plays?

Some dogs (whites in paticular) do have unpigmented third eyelids. I believe they are called haws? Since there is no pigment, when the dog runs around a lot or gets excited the blood collects and makes their eyes appear very red. I guess its possible for one haw to be pigmented and one not. Can...

    Fostering

Courtney, That is precisely what I did. I sent them an email on Friday. Hopefully they will respond soon. Unfortunately they are too far away for me to go there to help out. But I also applied as a volunteer at the local humane society and let them know that if they get any boxers I'd be...

    Fostering

yes but what do you do when you want to foster, but your local rescue doesn't use fostering? Here in Illinois there's only 1 boxer rescue, and they don't foster. We recently lost our dear Molly, and I'd really like to open our home to a needy boxer.

    $457 kennel cough?Have I been stitchedup?

Had to laugh Sorry, but if I brought my boxers in everytime they ate something inedible, I'd be able to pay off my vet's mortgage by myself! Let's see in the last week- leather glove, tennis ball, paper, tin foil (this one makes me shudder), plastic wrap, more paper, cardboard, bugs...

    Just wanted to say hi!

Hi everyone. I'm new to Boxerworld, so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Karen (in case you didn't figure that out) and I've been in love with the boxer breed for something like 15 years now. My husband and I got our first boxer "Rocky" not too long after we were married. We are...
