    any good books

For those that liked Bookseller of Kabul and Kite Runner, check out Reading Lolita in Terhan. I loved that book. I'm slogging thru David McCullough's John Adams right now. 1776 was much more interesting. Hopefully Truman will be better, cause it's like 1000 pages (not an exageration).

Diarrhoea after changing from lamb to beef mince

Or why not try chicken now and beef later? That way, when you intro beef again, you can feed with some chicken (with bone). Chicken is usually the easiest digestable wise, most dogs don't have a problem with it. Sometimes it's just the adjustment period, but it doesn't sounds like it's that...

    Feeding schedule

I only feed once a day. I do give Luka a kong tho, and I fill it with all kidsn of stuff- today was canned salmon, natural balance roll and cheddar cheese, but I kinda use that as a "breakfast" supplement. Hot dogs, ground beef/ turkey, chicken hearts, gizzards, sausage, left overs, noodles...

Newbie Question - What to Feed Next?

The other thing I noticed about your post is that you are seperately introducing a different body part- there is no need. It's just the different meats that need to go slow. Being that you are already feeding the mixed rolls with no problems (I assume no problems), then you can feed any parts...

Newbie Question - What to Feed Next?

Have you tried pork? Luka ADORES pork and it's cheap. I feed it just as often as chicken and turkey, plus the bones are consumable. I get baby back ribs and pork shoulder roasts. Country picnic ribs are just sliced shoulder and can be a tad sharp, (so can chops and necks) but if the price is...

    offal question...

I feed chicken hearts and gizzards as a stand alone meal all the time. Other organs, I wwould feed w/ some bone (with the chicken). As you go farther, you'll sus out what your dog can and can not handle.

    Names!

If I ever have a child, doesn't matter what sex, it's name will be Perry. That was my grandfather's name and I always wanted it for myself. I think a girl Perry would be just fine ;) Altho, as I mentioned before my name is spelled with an "i" instead of the more common "y" and I would never...

Guy drives 1050 miles to get lost dog!

Hell, I WALKED all over Santa Monica from 11pm- 3am, then from 4am- 9am when Luka was missing! LOL at this part: So Withers made the drive, bringing Moose Edward, his a 55-pound lab shepherd mix. His other dog's middle name is Edward?!

    RAW went Wrong?!

Yeah, totally- the % is just a guideline anyway. I just feel for Luka's last 2 back ribs :D I don't get too hung up on % because some nights he gets more than 1lb... just depends on what's defrosted.

    $1.19 lb for chicken?

I will freely admit- that is the biggest challenge of the diet for me. I hate starting up conversations and asking for info! Espceially with men butchers or hunters! I just can't motivate myself to do some leg work. Up til now, my excuse has been lack of space, but I finally have an extra...

    Raw Info

And that may start the enlightenment! That's how I got started on raw... the more research I did into canine nutrition the more I learned about how bad kibble was for dogs... then it was just a matter of time ;)

Difference between Spare and Endcut Ribs

Well, I just Image googled and it showed large pork chop looking pieces for the end cut and a picture of norma looking ribs for the spare ribs. Personally, the phrasing of "end cut ribs" make me wonder if they are sawedd bones. Spare Rib googled images...
