Hello all,
Im sorry its been a while since I've posted anything. As you can tell by where I am posting this message that I have been dealing with alot. Our precious Zaeda went to the bridge on 2/2/07. She was hit by a speeding car after having run away from us. It has been very hard for me because it happened right in front of me and there was nothing I could do to stop it. We had been working with her on a daily basis to come to us on command but once she thought she was free she ran like the wind until a car stopped her. The doctors at the emergency facility first that it was just a broke leg bone that could be fixed with surgery but after observing her for another 24 hours they saw severe damage to her spinal cord. We were and still are so heartbroken.
My husband was reading through Boxerworld and other sites on how to deal with grief of losing a pet and they said the best medicine was to get another one. So 2 days later we got Zeus who is now 10 weeks old. He does bring alot of joy to our lives but we still cannot stop missing Zaeda and I dont think we ever will.
I just wanted to thank you all for the advice you gave us as we were trying to train Zaeda and Im sure we will be back with more questions with Zeus. I decided that I would keep the same login name in rememberance of her but of course now the questions will be in reference to the little boy Zeus.
