Your Boxers Name :)

We don't have our baby yet (3 agonizing weeks to wait) but we are naming her Shelby (like Julia Roberts character in Steel Magnolias-one of my favorite movies).

I woke up this morning and it was just there, so I ran downstairs and said to DH "I have a Name for Her!!" and I told him and explined where I got it from and he really liked it!

I was originally going to get a little fawn girl and, being an English transplant, wanted to give her a name from home, so was going to name her after my favorite tea - Tetley! I was blessed though with a brindle boy, so named him after Fortnum & Mason, the tea importers! His favorite dog park is Fort Mason in San Francisco, so people assume I named him after that - but no, it was tea!!

I originally liked the name Tyson (and thought I was being SO creative), but since Tae is a female, I decided to go with Tae as in Taebo (kickboxing). Her original name was Kocoaliscious and she was called Kocoa. I’m not sure if there was a “K” theme there or not—she was owned by a family and I know the woman’s name was Kasandra!

On of my friends calls Tae "Kocoa" on occasion. I give her the evil eye when she does that. It's not necessary to confuse my baby!

Josie- Well my dad picked at me alot when I was pregnant with my second daughter. He kept telling me he wanted her name to be Josephine, Josie for a short. Well needless to say my husband and I didn't name our daughter Josphine. After we got Josie we were over visiting with my parents. We were thinking of names for her. Well I didn't really like anything anyone else was coming up with. So I said "I know!" "Josie!" After all she was going to be there grandchild too. So it stuck. And now my dad calls her his grandkid:D

Ginger-My miniature pinscher mix. I named her about five minutes after getting her. My friend was holding her in my lap. And I was like how about Ginger, her fur is the color of ginger. So it pretty much stuck.

My little girls name is Kayla kaykay.My daughter (human)named her that because all of her dolls are named that.

Okie- The day after we brought him home he ate a whole medium sized bag of Okie-Dokie Popcorn :rolleyes: . (Don't worry, he didnt get sick or anyhting)

Avalon- It means paradise or an island. She is my paradise, and I think that, mostly, you go to islands to relax or feel better from soemthing. And I do just that with her. Also, because we call her Ava and Ava means Bird....and Ava does NOT like birds (shes been terrified ever since she got chased by a crow and some geese :rolleyes: ) so we named her it sarcastically.

Downy-Darce Fresh-
Darce-My poppy (grandpa) who died when I was little
Downy and Fresh-the fabric softener, and even though he looks tough (hes a pit) we wanted a name that showed who he really is inside, a soft and gentle puppy.
We mostly call him Downy, Downy D. Fresh, or Downy D. though.

Ozzy got his name after Ozzy Osbourne, because they are both so nutty and silly!

My cat is named Ozzy for the same reason! And because I love Ozzy Osbourne, and so does my cat (whenever I play Ozzy, Ozzy the cat goes physco and it looks like he tries to "dance" kind of)

In respnse to the "where do we get the names?" Well, when I was in the process of picking my baby out. Dutch-Is just came out of my mouth. When I called her by that name her head turned and that wa the end of that. And besides she looks like a Dutch-Is:D

we got the name Diesel from the nick name for the Washington Redskins running back John Riggins. He was the running back that helped lead the Skins to a superbowl victory against the Dolphins.

Hope this is not my second post on names. We named our girl KENDELS ABRA-CADABRA and call her Abby.
We are getting a new baby boy in 4 weeks and want to stick with the magic theme but can't come up with a nickname we like.
Thinking of KENDELS HOCUS-POCUS or KENDELS ALA-Kazam with the nickname Kaz.
Feel free to send suggestions. He is brindle and a cute little guy.

Frankie was the only Boxer that I have named. The day after she came to us we were watching "Something About Mary" and when Mary's brother started chanting "Franks-N-Beans, Franks-n-Beans..." I knew she would be Frankie! To this day I can't watch that movie without cracking up!
