Boxer Pal
Hello! I am a very proud (and new) owner of 2 Fawn Boxers. After doing some research, I read that adopting an adult Boxer is a great idea for the first-time dog owner. My Girlfriend and I decided to rescue a 5 year old Fawn Boxer (Zoey) from a local shelter (found her 2 days before what was to be her last).
A few months later, we took her to the vet to check up on an irritated eye, we ran into another boxer owner, who offered to sell his Fawn Boxer puppy (Lilly) to us. She was so tiny and cute, we couldn't resist! Not having any boxer puppy knowledge, I was not educated on the typical size for her age. She was (supposedly) 3 months at the time, and weighed only 5 lbs!
Currently, Lilly, while still on the small side, is growing and looking much healthier. She is now close to 4 months old and weighs in at 10.2lbs.
Since owning both dogs, I have been constantly reading up on Boxers, and I am glad to have found this forum. Thank you BW!
