Actually....he did very well at first....the vet had him on Science Diet RX(soft) for a couple of days.But then shortly thereafter....within a week, he couldn't keep any food down, or so we thought, he actually wasn't able to swallow his food!So after about 2 wks...to and fro to the vet...and them really not listening to me...and my poor baby starving...he saw the E/R vet when I could take it no more.From there he went to an Internal Meds specialist who diagnosed him as having a stricture in his throat....where part of his throat has been scarred from the acid in his tummy(during surgery).And what happens is that part of the throat shrinks to a much smaller part than the rest of the throat.He then went through 4 throat stretching procedures, and now he will eat blended canned food for the rest of his life.I don't mean to scare you...I believe what has happened to Herkie is kind of rare....and I am pretty sure that I am the only one here on BW who has this problem.I am sure that Wilson will recover just fine....and within a week...he'll probably be perfectly normal!And once again...glad to hear he's feeling much better!
