If he goes towards the tree out of curosity that's ok, but if he should happen to try and get at anything on the tree redirect his attention elsewhere.
Exactly. I haven't freaked out about it. I pretend like it's no big deal there is a big bright tree in the house. He follows suit- however, he does think it's interesting when I lay on the floor w/ a pitcher of water to water it!

Magoo isn't interested in the tree at all. We did not have a tree last year if we had I'm sure he would have been obsessed, but now he's so much more mature at 19 months (haha)
When were not home he is in his crate, I would not leave him home alone unsupervised with the tree!

Oh goodness! Harry loves the Christmas tree. When my fiance was putting the tree in the stand and was underneath the tree trying to get it to stand up straight (what a pain) Harry was right there with him helping him out. Actually just checking out what dad was doing. It was real cute. We made sure to get ornaments that could not harm him, like glass. I have to admit that only 1/3 of my tree is decorated. I wanted a tree but did not want him to be put in harms way. So, it looks funny but we still love the tree. Harry loves the presents under the tree though. He wanted Christmas to come early on Monday and decided to unwrap the presents and place them in different locations all around the house. He did not chew on them just placed them in different places. I guess he did not like the wrapping paper. Oh well!

Haha! My wee girl hasnt had her first REAL christmas yet but when we picked her up for the first time it was horrific! It was only her and her sister left and they were real troublemakers! Before we took her home with us she as pulling at the branches of the tree but it was so big she couldnt shake it. She was pulling the presents out from underneath and endlessly ripping the paper and throwing it around! I reckon she was showing off but the other half thought that maybe she just didnt like christmas!
