Oscar's 9 weeks now, just a baby still. The lack of sleep was killing us, but finally (around Oscar's 8th week) we came up with a pretty good schedule for sleeping in. We placed his crate in our bedroom then during the night we'll take him out to relieve himself, then come 5:00 when he officially wakes up we leave him to play with his toys we placed in his crate. Then at 6 am when he's had enough of that and is just about to start whining we'll take him into our bed and he'll go right back to sleep until about 9 or even 10. It's kind-of screwy I know, but those extra hours of sleep really help. I will say this though, it took Oscar a little while to understand that it was only after 6 am he could climb into bed with us. Once there though, its a sure fire way of getting in some extra Zzzs on those days when you need them the most. Though in our cases the sleeping isn't exactly consecutive because he can't go the whole night without using the bathroom, but its better than nothing right?
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to suggest is, if you don't mind, bring your pup in the bed with you in the mornings. Then maybe you'll be able to get a few more hours of sleep.
