Why'd you name your boxer that?

Well, my dog has a pretty original name. In the motorcycle world a Suzuki GSXR is also called a "Jixxer". If that's how you spell it. My fiancee has a Suzuki GSXR and he said that if we ever got another dog, that's what he was going to name the dog. Then came my boxer. And his name was Jixxer before we even got home.

Once I knew I'd be getting by little female boxer, I wanted a name for her that was feminine and pretty, but also something original. I was watching the intro to a favorite show of mine, CSI, and one of the main actresses name was Jorja Fox. It sounded nice and the spelling gave it a unique twist. I knew right then she'd be "Jorja."

Rusty got his name from Oceans Eleven (Rusty Rian)-ended up being Russel though,
And I got his first name-Alexander from a baby name book
-means: Protector of Man

And He just Looks Like an Alexander Russel.

Rosie is our youngests name because when she was born she had a white ring around her neck. So her name was ring around the Rosie. now that she is growing its on half around her neck.

Daisy mae got her name because she is white like a daisy and daisys are my fav flower

Zander got his name because even at an earlier age he had a stout stance like he was in charge of something important. so his name is Alexander the Great. Zander for short.

Coach got his name because I got him the night Gene Stallings resigned as the head coach from the University of Alabama but the catch was that he was a gift from my parents who were graduates of the University of Georgia and they said that he couldn't be named after anything to do with the University of Alabama.

Rookie got her name because she was the rookie of the family.

Brutus is named after Ohio State University mascot "Brutus the Buckeye".

Gypsy was the hardest one for us to name. We tried and tried to find her a Hungarian name because my husband is second generation Hungarian. We decided on Gypsy because we always kid his grandmother about being a gypsy because she has a free spirit.

My girl was pure white, besides the fawn patch on her left eye, when we met the breeder. We wanted, meaning ME, a girly sounding name. I have two sons and a Husband who is like a 3rd. I needed another bitch in the house! HeeHee. We went with Neva (pronounced Ne-a-vay if you get real with it). It is spanish for snow. My boy's had a hard time pronouncing it properly so it ended up as Neva as it is spelled. Then she developed this additude as she got older and my Husband added Diva. Neva Diva it has become!

One of my white boxer babies is named Boomer Snag ....(Boomer was a 'neighborhood' dogs name in our old house, and he was the sweetest thing, so we sort of paid 'homage' to him) Snag was a middle name hubby wanted, he's only called Boomer Snag when he's in trouble..LOL
His nicknames are Boomy, BoomBoom, and Eeyore (he acts just like him)

Cracker Jack was already named when we got him in our house. (an employee of ours had him before) I don't really care for the name, but they named him after the dog on the Cracker Jack box.
We call him Cracky, Cracker Whacker, and WooWoo.

Latte', the shih tzu, was named Mocha Latte' because right after I got him and brought him home, my daughter said he smelled like coffee.
(He laid on my lap all the way home and maybe I dripped a bit of ice mocha on him??) His nicknames are PooPoo, Stinky, Baby, Pooky and about a million more others.

my puppy is named loki - after te norse god of mischeif! cos he always gets into mischeif.

We named Chief after Mischief too!!!!! LOL! Plus he was so tiny when we first got him~ and he tried to dominate over our lab Sam! So we figured it would fit when he was little and big!
His full registered name is:
"Chief Waggums Wheel"
(Because we think if he could talk, he'd sound like Chief Wiggum from the Simpsons)hehe. But he is constantly wagging his nubbin. Wheel is an abbrv. of our last name, Wheeler. It just kind of flowed in that direction!
