Why you named your Boxers what you did?

I really enjoy hearing how evryone picked the name for their boxers.

The Jorja story is too funny!!

When we knew we were going to get a boxer we started to kick around names but nothing that really stuck. I really liked the name Kramer (from Seinfeld)and we thought that would be the name. However when we went to get him he didn't "look" like a Kramer. My husband remembered that Kramers first name was Kosmo.
Of course when he has done something wrong he is Kosmo Kramer.

i have 4 babies.. tidus (lab mix), lulu (dsh kitten), auron (beta), rikku (boxer).

all of our animals are named after FFX characters (video game obssession). we're going to get a siberian husky, who's name will be kimahri, and another kitten, who's name will be yuna (much later though )

that should do me as far as animals are concerned. my boyfriend says we can move to a farm and i can have as many as i want. i love them all!!!

We had the name Baxter picked out for our puppy to be but when we went to pick our pup he came tearing ahead of the other pups like a bulldozer and so we ended up naming him Dozer.

A New Home, a New Name

Tomorrow morning we will meet and pick up our 3-1/2 year old rescue boxer. No more empty crate at our house! Can you think of a better anniversary present? (Which? Our 43rd.)

The folks involved in boxer rescue are SUPER! They're giving back to the breed the love boxers are so well known for. They deserve whatever support we can give them.

As for our new boxer's name: 'Betty' will be known hearafter as 'Neenah'. It's a Menominee Indian word for 'water'. We love the sound of the name. I had suggested years ago that if we ever got a male and a female boxer, I would love to name them Neenah and Menasha. For those who don't know, they are twin cities located on the northern end of Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin.

My fiance and I have another dog (1/2 Sharpei, 1/2 English pointer), his name is Harley (after the motorcycle, of course)! My fiance is motorcycle crazy, and your typical biker. When we picked out the new pup, I thought how neat it would be to follow the theme, and ouila, we had Chopper!!! It completely fits the little guy. He's a 6 week old, white boxer, who thinks he owns the world!!! I like to call him Mr. Meanie, though!!

When I was a kid we had a boxer named Stormy because she was born during a very bad storm. I loved her so much that I decided I was going to get another boxer and name her Stormy too. Now the really weird thing is that my Stormy, who's AKC name is Missy's Autumn Storm was also born during a very bad storm. What are the chances? I think it was fate.

Vegas and Reno

I have 2 boxer boys. My first boy we named Vegas. We had been to Las Vegas the year before and absolutely loved it. We decided it would be a fun name for our dog. We got our second boy about 4 months ago and wanted to stick with theme. We named him Reno.

Both our boys came from rescues - and we kept their names - Curly and Eagle (Eagle has papers - but I never remember his 'show name' something like Believe its Mr Eagle McPatty).
Tessa's mom was Little Tess - I like the name Tessa and Maria is my favorite name - so we call her Tessa Marie.

boxer names

I named my first boxer Dutch after this guy that worked in my brother's bar. The guy was cute and the name always stuck with me. I named my new pup Olive, basically because I love olives. My husband thought we should have named her Madge. So they could be like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.

My husband wanted a "tuff" name for him.........so he picked diesle (we changed the spelling and I don't know how to change it on BW...but thats fine) Tuff name for a BIG baby!!!.....we love him to death!!!!
