Well we talked about it last night, and for some reason she was over it, and kinda understands a little bit better it was all in fun, and not a personal attack against her BIL. She was still pretty bummed about me not going, but she was too excited about going to a beach and getting away. I am glad to not be going, that just gives me more time to hang out with my pup and have fun. The county fair is in town, so we might just have to visit, and let him take in the sights, the people, the smells, & the animals. Maybe even get an ice cream. Thanks again.

I would have to say that your behavior regarding the teasing of BIL and going out of town in the middle of the week is totally fine. Maybe SIL needs her DH with her all the time? I know of women (and I'm sure there are men) who need to be with their SO all the time. I guess it makes them feel more secure. Me, I'm so independent, it doesn't phase me!

Is it possible your GF has expectations of you that are a bit high? Is she hard to please? Actually, she sounds a bit like the stereotypical female--you are darned if you do and darned if you don't!!! ....though us female BW members are nothing like that.....
