Why do they think she is a he?

My own mother always calls Roxy "he". She *knows* Roxy is a girl but for some reason it's always "he". Ah well what can you do???

I have noticed that most people assume my little Sidda is a boy. I try to buy collars with pink or girl patterns. My cousin even told me he thinks all boxers look like boys. I was like just because they don't have long blond hair and red lips doesn't mean they can't be feminine. Geesh.

You know, it is fairly easy to tell if a Boxer is a male or female! With such short hair the female anatomy is, like, right there. My friend Suzy came over to meet Tae and was like "what's that?" pointing to her private parts. I was like, what do you think????

One thing I want to know, is HOW is a dog metrosexual!?!? If I were you, I would've lifted my dog's front paws up and said, "do you see any part of the male anatomy there? If it is I'll call all the media and let them know that in some miraculous event that my GIRL changed into a GUY!! Oh my word!!"


Paisley is very, very commonly mistaken for a male. I guess it could come from that she has a blue collar, but, hey, it's got paisleys on it.. that's sorta girly! People will start talking and be like "aww he's very cute" or "how old is he?" So I respond with something like "Yea, I know SHE'S cute" or "SHE'S *whatever* weeks/months old." And THEN they say something like "Uh, uh.. oh is it a girl or boy?" Sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes I just get frustrated with it. My grandma calls everything a 'he', but I still tell her "she! she!" or "she's a she!!!!" Like someone else said, a lot of people see boxers and automatically think they're males.

When i met my husband, he had a male husky. His dog had a purple collar and leash and i couldnt figure it out. One night i was making fun of it, and he said he thought it was blue. Come to find out, my husband is colorblind, so guess who picks out the collar/leash combos now! ME!

LOL...that's a funny story.
I have to admit it makes it much easier knowing I'm not the only one who has gone through this.

undefined Thats so funny. My Zoeigh has a hot pink collar and nails too!!! not to mention a hot pink bandana occasionally and she get mistaken for a boy all the time also. Not to mention the fact that she is VERY small for a boxer. I think it's halariuos. My dad is another one of those who thinks that all boxers look like males. I don't understand it either.
