We want to find another Boxer but want a female , we were told that two males would fight all the time ? is that true or not ? Also what are the pros and cons of a white Boxer ? Plus we are in the Philadelphia area can anyone out there tell us of a breeder in the Philly area or New Jersey ?
Thanks in advance

Try checking out this link....

This will give you a listing of reputable breeders that do all of the appropriate health testing. If that doesn't help, try checking with a rescue org or through your local boxer club for recommendations. If that still doesn't help, maybe check into rescuing a boxer that's in need of a good home.

As far as the pros and cons of owing a white boxer. I honestly don't think there are any cons to owning a white boxer. Well ok, when white boxers get dirty, it shows up more. ;) It's also said by some people that white boxers are prone to deafness, but there's really little to no proof to back this up. Then again, any dog that can lose it's hearing I honestly feel that shouldn't be an issue.

If you do a search you can find tons of info on white boxers. This topic has come up numorous times. The search button is one of the blue ones towards the top of the page. Good luck in your search!! :)

You can also contact the Boxer Clubs in your area, or go to dog shows to meet breeders.

There is ample evidence that whites are more prone to deafness, as they carry the extreme piebald gene which is responsible for the death of the cochlear cells, but this occurs at 3-4 weeks of age and BAER testing can be done before the puppy is placed so the owner will know. The skin of white Boxers, like the skin in the white areas of flashy Boxers, is more prone to sunburn. (Having said that, I've never used any sunscreen on my white girl and she hasn't had any problems; but she's not out in the sun for hours at a time, either.)

Other than that, whites are no different from their colored counterparts and often are the nicest puppies in the litter conformationally!!
