Boxer Pal
Ok i am gonna take a stab at this one, Sabrina (8 months old) my very first boxer has managed to get into everything. She loves shoes she can find them anywhere. Any sort of crayons, pens, markers, paper anything is another favorite. She has chewed the base of my banister completely through, I can actually stick my fingers through it. We put in new carpet in the den and i came home one day and she had managed to pull the carpet up at the corner and pulled it straight back about 10 feet and shredded the carpet to bits. She then moved on to the pad that was underneath it. She was very proud of herself. she did the same thing in my sons room,we had to remove the carpet in both rooms and put down wood and put up 2 gates so she cant get in those rooms anymore. DVD,TV , stereo remote controls ,my prescription glasses, anything fleece ,stuffed animals, toys,my couch, she has eaten. Then theres the backyard!!!smashicon She shredded the christmas tree that was on the side of the house , brought in 2 gophers (I had been after those gophers for 3 months) numerous field mice , pigeons ,and something else i couldnt even recognize. She destroyed the entire strawberry patch ,brought that in as well, she had to actually jump up on a higher level of the yard to get those. My backyard is full of shredded paper towels and toilet paper!!! I think those are her absolute favorite. I pick it up every day.
She is my first boxer and trust me I have learned alot . Nothing is safe and never underestimate a boxer!!! But I love her just the same:D

OK, Daisy is still young so she hasn't done too much. There was the one time that I got the phone call at work....my 11 year old son called, sobbing, that Daisy had a bird but I couldn't hear much more because my mother was screaming in the background "the feathers, the feathers!" Daisy must have found a dead bird when she went out to poop and then brought her new prize back in the house! My 7 year old daughter took control - she grabbed the pooper scooper, scooped up what was left of the bird (sorry) and disposed of it outside. Pretty quick thinking, I thought! My poor son cried for hours thinking Daisy was going to die from rabies. Anyway, it took hours to get rid of the feathers....yuck!!

Oh my  after reading these I know my dear Layla is not even in the running! She is very non-destructive and we have been extremely lucky (especially considering she was a rescue)! She has destroyed a couple of things like wicker pots, some underwear, a blanket of hers, blah, blah, blah...Hahaha, absolutely nothing to compare with the hijinx of her boxer kin!

I have also been blessed with an angel. There have only been a few items that Louie has destroyed.

One day I came home and he'd shoved one of his chews under the couch, and normally he whines (see my thread earlier about being predictable) until I get it for him. But I was gone, so he'd been trying to "dig" it out, and it tore the bottom of the front of my couch. I ended up getting rid of it anyway.

And he ate my stocking that my mom made for me when I was 2 years old. That made me mad... but he must have thought the smell of 26 years worth of candy and nuts was irresistable.

Aside from that, I used to find my thong underware out back when he had a doggy door. Not chewed, not ripped... just placed every so nicely in the middle of the lawn for the neighbors to enjoy.

Oh, and he stole my roommates wallet off the coffee table once when he was asleep. But he didn't do anything to it, except pull all of the credit cards out of it and scatter them around the yard... not chewed, just thrown around.

So, all in all I think I have it pretty easy (knock on my wood head).

Still haven't heard all of the stories bout Jack though Debbie! I know, maybe you don't have the energy to re-live the memories.....

I just got a call at work from the BF. "You're not going to be happy", he said. Laila (5 1/2 months) pushed her crate over to the bed & ate the comforter, bedskirt & sheets. We have had contractors fixing our house from hurricane Isabelle, since she was brought home. You would think she would be used to it by now, but I guess she tried so hard to get to them, she moved the crate right over.

This is really only the second thing she ate - she pulled the tray out of another crate & ate the brand new rug underneath it. We put that crate in the shed & pulled out the bigger one this weekend. She can't move the tray, but I guess she can move the whole thing.

I was all excited to go home & see the new carpet they put in today & now my bed is chewed up. :p

Big deep breaths!

Jill :)

O.K. Debbie it is time to spill the beans. I know about Jack's visit to Amiee's but I too am interested in full disclosure.
