what I have a question about is why white puppies are sometimes more expenisive thanbrindles or fawns? they cant be shown, and I heard that they shouldnt be bred. I was just wondering, cause I have been looking at puppies and their prices are usually more

Not in the UK, so far as I've seen.

The white ones are usually about 2/3 of the price.........

Here they are typically less...we are getting a white one and he was $250 cheaper than the brindle/fawn puppies

If you run across such a breeder, you should run the other way. That breeder doesn't conform to the ABC code of ethics, which states that in the case of white boxers breeders should only charge for the vet expenses directly attributable that that pup. That should make them considerably less than their colored siblings.

BYB"S typicaly sell whites as "Rare" and try and get more money for them when they should be selling them for basic costs. Run from those breeders. And whites should NEVER be bred. The reputable breeder I got Diesel from sold their white for $300 and the others who were flashy brindles were priced $1000+.

I think you're looking in the wrong places Those are certainly not responsible breeders you're talking with. Selling whites at high cost is just one of the things to look out for - more here: www.boxerworld.com/faq and http://www.boxerworld.com/health_testing/

The best place to find a responsible breeder is your nearest boxer club, or if there is no boxer club in your area, then at least an all-breeds club. They should be able to point you in the direction of any breeder members who show and health test their dogs and who may have a litter coming up. Do remember that not all who show also health test, so you do need to see the proof of that - preferably before ever seeing a puppy. one time I saw a white for 10000 dollars. I thought that was ridiculous! even if they have champion bloodlines, I would never pay that much. I was just asking though, cause I thought it was stupid

If it was a website or an ad it most likely was a mistake they maybe were going for $1,000 which means it was a BYB because like everyone else stated before it should be a very small price. I cant think even a BYB would try for $10,000. That would be silly.

I had a white and she was 150 as compared to the other pups in the litter at 600.

But you are right. I have seen that, too. Even in the local paper, I saw a white selling for 425 as compared to 400 for the others. Yes, it was a BYB.

Some will even call them "rare."

By the way, do not shy away from a white boxer. Mine was quite special. However, there is a tendency towards deafness. Mine died at seven from kidney failure probably due to the fact that she had one working kidney.

if you have a white boxer, but their ears are completely brown, will that give them a better chance against deafness? cause thats how it is with dalmations, the more color the better, but I didnt know. We are getting a fawn soon and then a white
