Whining?

Does anyone else's boxer whine? Riley is HUGE baby and whines every time either me or my BF are getting ready to leave the house. She will run around whining for 10-15 minutes after one of us leaves and then lay down and look SO sad! She'll whine when I'm getting ready to go take her to the dog park (as if to say "Mom, I want to go NOW!!!") When Riley can't catch her sister (Macy the crazy kitty) to play, she turns on the whine big time!

I just love my baby to pieces!

...in fact, she's currently sleeping in my lap.

Tae started whining when she was 14 mos old. I adopted her when she was 13 mos and the whining started a month later. She only whines when excited, never when she's sad. When I take her somewhere in the car, it's a riot. She will whine off and on throughout the car ride. When we go to the dog park, she whines when we pull in and she starts recognizing where we are.

I try not to address the whining. I figure it will only make is worse!

Isis whines alot if Zeus is outside and she cant go outside with him. Or if the front door is open and one of our kids is outside playing she will want to go out and play. She will just sit at the glass door and whine away with a sad long face. She looks like she is saying, "Please can I go out there and play with them Mom, I promise I wont cause any trouble."
Zeus will whine if my dh leaves to go some where. Zeus loves his daddy. Zeus will either sit at the front door or pace in the front hall for about 15 mins and whine. After 15 mins. I guess then he realizes that Chris isn't going to be back any time soon.

Yes, I have a baby moose Cletus,just had his 1st birthday in Oct. & whining is his game, he whines for anything he wants,just like a spoiled brat.Its my fault he is spoiled & I thought he was the only one that whined.Hanley

Yes, Grunt whines loudly, but only at certain times:

1) when he's flung or jackhammered a ball or toy into, under or on a place that he can't reach or where he's not allowed to go.
2) when we're going for a ride and mommy and daddy aren't moving fast enough to get out to the car and go.

He also does a kind of whispery, pathetic whine when he wants to go out and daddy has told him "go ask mommy", and when I'm cooking in the kitchen and he smells something that he wants a taste of. If he sounds pathetic enough, he usually gets what he wants! He really does know how to get to me.

I don't think I could have said it any better. Zoey does the same thing. Sometimes it drives me crazy, because I swear she does it just to see what I will do for her.

Ozzy doesn't whine at all but Ryker, OMG when it comes walk time, he will start, it drives me so crazy I have to put him in a room if were not ready then when we are ready he whines louder and start a woo woo and talks like crazy till we get out the door and its soooo loud. Poor Ozzy must wonder what the heck is going on Oz doesn't woo or bark much at all.

omg sierra is such a whiner...she whines if somebody comes in and they are not petting her..and if you are petting sinbad and not her..she has just started whining when she knows they are going for a car ride and i am not moving fast enough to leave... they are so funny sometimes

Cami has been whining for about 2 months now. It's driving me nuts. At first I wasn't sure why she was doing it and would try desperatly to figure out what she wanted. Well that was a big mistake. Now she knows that she can whine and I will get her something, (treat, bone etc....). I am actually making it worse. I tried ignoring her and looking away but then she gets louder and starts pawing at me. I need to find a way to get some more will power.....one look at that face and I melt!

Spirit is a big-time whiner!! Not so much Xena unless she sees something out the window like other doggies or someone she knows, then she'll whine a bit. Spirit constantly whines. Half the time we don't know why. Sometimes he does it out of boredom and will pace around if front of anyone who's on the couch and whine! My teenager cracks me up because he will strike up a conversation with Spirit like "What's that Lassie...Timmy has fallen down the well?", which just fires up Spirit and his whine turns into a woo session! :p He is VERY vocal! :D
