:o Toby has his own bed in the laundry room and his crate is in there if he wants to sleep in his crate (with the door open). We wake up and he is in different places. My husband wont let Toby sleep in the bed, unless of course he is not there. That is when Toby and I get our snuggling in (on mommy's bed) ;)

I am assuming this is night time sleep  Also, it should read "In my bed, in the MIDDLE"

My inlaws were sure surprised when 70lbs of boxer bounced in their bed in the middle of the night when they took care of him. He slept on his doggie day bed until about 3am and then... well you know the rest of the story!

Riley sleeps in bed with me. Even in the summer when it's hot he might start out on the couch but before the night is over...
My first boxer, Montgomery, also slept in bed with me and when it got cold would steal all the covers!

I answered in her crate since that is where she starts out. She doesn't even want to get up with us at bedtime, goes straight to her crate, which is at the foot of our bed. She's also good about sleeping most of the night in there; however, at 4 a.m. she knows that she can crawl up with me and sleep in her daddy's warm spot. It's funny now, at 3:30 she's awake and slowly waking us up with her whimpering b/c she knows her time is near. I think it's cute. Tim, on the other hand, does not, especially since he's the one getting up so early. We are getting a bigger bed in the spring, so they'll be plenty more room up there for her if she wants. :)

Our boxer pup sleeps in his crate. It's quite amazing how he will get up from where ever he has fallen asleep at around 10:30 or 11:00 and slowly walk himself to his crate and then wake up the following morning like clockwork at around 7:00am or sometimes 7:30 am if we're lucky. We've had him since he was 6 weeks old and now he is 11 weeks and he adjusted to his crate from the first time we got it. However, we got the wire one at first which he didn't seem to like, then we got the large plastic crate which can be used on the plane and he absolutely loves it!
Nevertheless, I still think that he would prefer to sleep with us on the coach if he had his own way.

I loved reading everyone's responses. LOL Aren't they adorable? Allie is my husband's first dog. He's getting so much better but it could be hilarious watching him getting frustrated with Allie's strong will. So when Allie was a puppy curling up with us, not a problem. She's getting bigger (45 ruff loving pounds now!) and loves cuddling more than ever. She'll start between us but at the foot of the bed. She'll creep up through the night and there have been a few times when my husband has picked her up in the middle of the night put her on her bed by the bed. So now what she does is if she wants to get REALLY warm now that the weather is cooler, she jumps off the bed, goes to my side, lol stares at me until something in my sub-conscious knows my baby needs me and wakes me up, and I hold the covers open so she can crawl way down by my feet and curl up. These wonderful episodes end with a huge blanket covered sigh and I know all is well.

Nash will go to bed with the kids, and lay on one of their beds, almost like she is watching over them, which is really cool, as we only brought her home friday night! I call her my baby sitter.

Later, when we go to bed, she will join us. Nash is really a blanket hog! Last night I woke up freezing:LOL: but I couldnt move her to get more of the duvet! She lays on top of it, and I have to scooch in under her and the duvet to stay warm. At least I won't ever have cold feet again!

sleeping arrangements

Since my husband and I sleep on a twin mattress it is interesting to see my 55lb girl jump up between us onto the bed. She really has no alternative other then stepping on one or both of us as she gets up(we still can't help but laugh at this act). She is only allowed TV time and then she readily gets down onto her heated doggie bed for the evening. Now if only I had a bigger bed...

Lexus has been sleeping with me since she was a pup! However when I first got her, my bed was very small. So when she got bigger she would only sleep with me until I fell asleep and she would move to the couch. Now that she is much older sometimes she sleeps in her bed (next to my bed) all night, sometimes half the night with me and half the night in her bed. If she is not feeling good, or it is really cold out, Lexus will sleep with me all night long.:D

Oh! I have a bigger bed now too!:p
