Lilly is being microchipped on Friday when she goes in for her spay. When we were at the vet's for her final puppy shots, they asked us if we wanted it done with her spay or another time.
I choose with her spay, because of her deafness, I wanted to try and reduce any additional stress she might be under. Having it done while she is asleep, I thought would be better for her.
Also, she is only ever out supervised in our locked fenced backyard or on her leash. So I felt fairly confident that she was safe.
Chester was already microchipped when we picked him up.
