We fell in love with Boxers about 10 years ago. A month after we married my husband got a transfer out of Las Vegas (born and raised there - family still there) and after two months I needed a dog. I was raised with Rotties and Ridgebacks, but we lived in apartment and decided on a smaller dog.

However, once we saw the beautiful Boxer and read about their temperment no other breed would do! :) We found a great breeder and got Bailey our first Boxer, then we got Abby.

They were both gone about 1 1/2 year ago and in March we went to adopt yet again a smaller dog, but we couldn't stop comparing all other dogs to the Boxer. So we decided that Boxers are the only breed for us and we adopted Chops.

Don't think we will ever have another type of dog. Once you have a Boxer...no other dog can compare! :)

I dated a guy about 25 yrs ago (OMG! Am I that old?) who had a beautiful fawn male. He was such a sweetheart! (The boxer, not the boyfriend) When things didn't work out I lost the boyfriend but kept my love for the breed. After my husband (a much beter man!) and I had been married for about a year we talked about getting a dog. He wanted a sheltie and I wanted a boxer. After I asked him if he planned on brushing the sheltie everyday, he decided a boxer would be a better choice. We got Star in July '98. My husband has been a fan of boxers since!

I fell in love when we got our first boxer! We'd been looking for a dog for ages. Found a rescue with a 7 month old for adoption, her previous owner was an older man who had to move across the country to be with a dying relative so he had to give her up. My mom got to the shelter right as they were closing so she had to make a snap decision... and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. Molly was the most wonderful dog I've ever met and I'm hooked on boxers since. :)

I can't say I truly fell in love with the breed until I got my pup, but the thing that made me think "boxer!" when I started looking around for a dog was the dog that lived next door to my childhood friend.

Starting at kindergarten, this kid Brian became my best friend. He lived a couple of blocks down from me, and I'd bike over to his house all the time. His family was my second family, and his Mom kinda took over maternal duties for me once my Mom got sick and then died. Anyways, we were very close and I spent a lot of time over there.

His next door neighbors were a friendly but childless middle-aged couple, who had a white boxer and a two story house. Lots of days, we'd be outside playing around in the driveway, and I'd look up and at the window, there was this dog with his head poked through the blinds, just intently staring at us. The kind of stare that, even though his head wasn't moving, you could tell his butt was just wiggling all over the place. And sometimes, his neighbors would let the dog come out and play with us, and he was just a ball. We'd kick a soccer ball around, and he would just go nuts running after it. It would get ridiculously slobbery, and we'd put out bowl for water and have to refill it with the hose over and over again. He was *so* much fun. Every time I got to play with him, he was just communicating with every piece of his being "HEY!!!! I'm having SO MUCH FUN!!!!!"

So when I was looking for a pup, and I came across a boxer, he was the first thing I thought of, and I had to go for it.

It has worked out well :)

I fell in love with boxers when I was probably around 13ish. I had slept over my one of friends houses and some of her family had come over for her dads birthday and one of his gifts was a fawn boxer boy! Ohhhhh I immediately fell in love. He was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. Ever since then I wanted one. I would look online all the time at pictures and then at one of my jobs when I was around 18 I worked with a girl who owned 2 boxers and the way she talked about them made me want one soooo much more. I had also tried talking my parents into getting a dog but they wouldn't and finally I had bought a house but finacially we couldn't safely afford one..... until a year ago when I FINALLY got MY fawn boxer boy! And I love boxers even more now then I ever have. :)

I fell in love with boxers via Cody. I have always preferred a big dog...I am not a little dog person at all. I truly wanted a Rottweiler but things were not the way I wanted with that breeder. I had seen two beautiful Boxers up in Ohio and DH knew a guy whose family had been breeding boxers for years and years....I thought why not lets go see the pups. Well I saw my boys sweet mug...picked him up he licked my chin....and that was it....LOVE lovicon . Then of course we got to know the boxer personality and loved it so much that we had to have more...enter Aniah. Boxers will be a part of my life always..just adore the breed.

I have to admit I was a Beagle girl during my childhood. This year, when we were looking for another dog we came across Patrick. My partner bent down to greet him and he put his paw up on her shoulder as if to give her a hug. That was the moment we fell in love. I knew he was the one for us and we took him home immediately. I can't imagine having another dog. He is truly a part of our family.

I was probably about 6 when my family got our first boxer. He was everything a boy could want, eg playmate, friend, guardian, athlete, and someone to confide with, especially important to me because of difficult family dynamics. The connection was profound. Just thinking about him after all these years is difficult. I was hooked forever, and each one since hooks me in their own way. There is nothing like a boxer. I guess you all know that already.

I fell in love with the Boxer breed when I was around 9 years old. My sister's best friend had them and I wanted one sooo bad! My mom finally got us one - a male, white, beautiful boy we called Dandy. We eventually had to give him away and I don't remember why. Ever since then I have wanted one. I got Cooper almost 2 years ago. He is the "fur" love of my life!!

I met my first boxer 3 years ago. He was the coolest dog....super happy, energetic, obedient, and very playful.

I'd always been a german shepherd person and had planned on getting a GSD puppy once we had a house. But, I kept thinking back to how great Vladi (boxer) was.

So 1 year after I met my first boxer, we got Johann. :D It took hubby longer to fall in love (3 months after we got him)....but now Johann has won him over. I can't imagine having a different breed, boxers are one of a kind.
