I've been pretty lucky with Buddy. He doesn't eat weird things. There are remotes, cell phones, pens, magazines, figurines and an opened box of painting materials but he won't touch any of it. (thank god!) He'll eat just about any kind of food he can reach. He eats soap bubbles while I'm washing my truck and will shred a dryer sheet. But no clothing or anything. :) I'm so proud of him for moments like this.

Well, a few days ago, I was working a puzzle on my bed and Sam was beside me. I went to go do something and I came back and saw him pick up my pen in his mouth. I grabbed it from his mouth before he could eat it, though.

Strange Eats

Both of mine love ear plugs, especially my Ruby she will actucally try to lick them out of my ear while I am sleeping ! We have been through 2 cans of fish food lately..yuck, a bag of avacados, ( thankfully not the pits ) what else... oh , they LOVE used q-tips. Usually they have a guilty look and when we say "drop it" inevitably something rolls out of their mouth. They always look so sad , its pathetic !

Macie, too... she loves to lay on the floor while I shower and eat the clothing I have just taken off.

We are remodeling, so she also loves to chew on plumbing pieces, as well as she has swallowed some odd plastic fittings and small pieces she can fit in her mouth. They come out a few days later - she is getting MUCH better about that kind of stuff. I think she is learning.

Rufus (and Ripley when she was here) LOVE lotion. I too have to run away from them after putting it on.

Over the past three years, we've gone through many sets of cordless phones, a few TV remotes, a couple wallets, sunglasses, and plastic hangars...but these are things that are just chewed on, not eaten.

For that, I think the grossest thing is Rufus likes to eat used kleenex. One day, I was home sick. I blew my nose and when I was sleeping, he ate the kleenex right out of the trash. Ever since then, he tries to sneak them. In fact, as soon as a kleenex comes out of the holder, he's right next to you with the "can I, can I, can I PLEASE" look. YUCK!

For ABBY, nothing she eats is strange to me anymore. Anything she can get her mouth on, she eats it. Or at least tries to anyway. I'd swear that she has a gut made out of cast iron, because of everthing she has ate, none of it has made her sick. That goes from cardboard, toilet paper, and kleenex to socks, tennis shoes, and baseball caps. I think that in a previous life, she must have been a goat.
