I guess I've been lucky. Austin has never eaten or destroyed anything! 
What's the most expensive thing your boxer has eaten/distroyed?

Fortunately Watson hasn't gotten a hold of anything long enough to destroy it. And anything that has been destroyed lately (curtains) he had help. Sherlock's biggest mess was the 20 lb bag of charcoal he destroyed in the middle of the living room. I guess you could consider it expensive since I went and bought a carpet cleaner to fix that mess up. The most expensive "almost" diasaster was when Copper was caught dragging my husband's 1957 Stratocaster guitar across the floor. Carl learned to put his toys away that day. LOL

Balboa is in the process of destroying my house. I keep him in my sunroom while we are at work. My other two older dogs stay in the house. I have a french door separating the sunroom from the rest of the house so he sees them chilling on the couch. He is eating the door frame so he can chill on the couch with his buddies. If he keeps it up, I'll have me a free doggie door before long. :eek:

After reading all your posts I have an absolute Angel!! Indy is a good boy. My Bubby on the other hand was the devil himself. Chewed everything. The worst although not that expensive was the center wheel caps of my fathers custom built trans-am. I had to take that car 2 hours away to find the exact replacements. The guy was laughing so hard when I told him "my dog ate the caps" he didn't charge me any labor to put them on. Just $25 per cap and he got all 4.

I have really enjoyed reading through this thread. I think my Jesse just gets easily distracted by things and then he can't help himself. For example...
1) he enjoys napping on the rug in the sun in front of the french doors. that darned door stopper thingy reflected the sunlight so nicely that he NEEDED to lick it...then bite it....then try to pull it off the wall. oops! here comes the molding off the wall. heck, might as well chew that too.
2) I have a jewelry armoire in the bedroom and his cuz bounced under it. it's not that big of a piece of furniture but the pesky corner near the legs kept getting in his way. Instead of square corners, it now has rounded edges.
3) dh was home sick one day and slept most of the day which is very unusual. Jesse napped in his bed at the foot of our bed and once again, those pesky corners annoyed him. Our bed now has nicely rounded edges on one side. (at least it matches the jewelry box)
Those are just the things that come immediately to mind. Lucky for me, dh is the easiest going person I know. He tells me that Jesse told him that Spottie made him do it.

I guess we've been lucky with Pay so far- he has just gotten ahold of little things- (nothing expensive) and for a while he thought if we put something on the kitchen table it was his- being as he could see it you know.
Good friends of ours had 2 labs (brother and sister) that destroyed alot of things- The funniest by far was a big old oak dining room table (with big, heavy, thick legs) that they decided to "carve" one day- I'm not kidding, it looked like beavers had gotten into their house and had their way with those table legs!!
Oh the stress our babies give us sometimes..... Gotta love 'em!!!

When Jewel was a puppy she chewed the corners of my parents brand NEW bedroom set, and she didn't just go after one piece, she chewed on them all - to this day you can the the puppy teeth marks. But the thing is none of us are sure how she did it, she was confined to the kitchen during the day (where she did destroy one of my moms kitchen chairs) and she was always supervised when we were home.

I've been pretty lucky with Beau I guess! He's not actually destroyed anything (knock on wood). My daughter has a pair of shoes that you can see a few tooth marks if you look really close. He's eaten a few crayons, but all that does is give him confetti poop. He also likes diapers and feminie hygiene products as a couple others have mentioned. Other than that, I've got it pretty easy!!
