What's a good...no, GREAT cordless vacuum?

Now that we have two pups, and 2 skin kids and DH ()....I am finding myself constantly sweeping. We have all hardwood floors. It's a pain to drag the regular vacuum, unwind cord, plug in, vacuum and then put it all away again. SO, I was thinking, a cordless vacuum would work out great! Smaller, more compact but better suction than a broom, no unwinding/winding of the cord, etc....

What's a good one? Any thoughts?

I have a Dirt Devil Swiffer Sweeper vac that I love! It sucks up the big stuff and has a place for a swiffer pad that collects the hair and dust bunnies! The Swiffer Sweeper was recalled a few weeks ago, but not my version the Dirt Devil one. The only problem is that the battery runs down rather quickly. Maybe like 10 minutes or so of constant vacuuming. So you either have to do all rooms really quickly or focus on one or two rooms and then recharge.
