Hi From NZ - I taught Bella to high 5 just by having her sit in front of me then holding my hand in front of me, palm towards her with a small treat between my fingers, and saying high 5. Then I would wait until she put out her paw, then clicked and gave her the treat. I never found that she got confused it I tried to teach her several things at once. I find it is just the opposite - if I tried to have her do the same things over and over she gets bored and shuts down.

Champ and I haven't gotten very far in the tricks/commands department but his commands are...

sit
stay
come
down
over (jump a bar)

and his one and only trick is hide and seek. I hide a toy while he is in a sit-stay in the living room, and he goes and finds it when I release him. He's really good and can find it all over one level. Next I'll start moving the toy up or downstairs.

Oh, he also plays catch where we throw the ball and he catches it.

Let's see, both mine can:
Sit
Down
Stay
Shake
Kiss (this is not a lick, it is a pucker kiss!)
Come love (they come and lay their head in my lap)
Go get in your own bed (they don't like that one)
and Buster can open the sliding glass door to let them back in the house :)

Yay tricks!

Hurricane can:

sit
down
stay (we are working on length... if we are in sight he will stay upwards of 20 min, out of sight we have it up to about 5 lol)
shake/hi 5 (really the same trick, just a variation)
bark (we didn't teach him "speak" for some strange reason, we always used "bark" instead... oh well)
roll over
stand (up on his two hind legs without bracing himself)
walk (on his two hind legs!)
up (up with paws on chest)
beg (I call it the gopher pose... from a sit he picks his front paws up and "begs")
fetch (we use the command "get it")
go _ (can send him to any spot I can point at... like the couch, the bed, the corner, etc)
Go to bed (get in his crate... he hates this one and acts like its the end of the world :) )

My guy can do the following regular obedience stuff like:
sit
down
stay
front
come to heel
heel
eliminate on command
load up (load into the back of the car)
table (climb on scale or table)
drop it
take
hold
get that (retrieve)
kennel (go to crate)

For tricks he knows:
High 5
left paw raise
right paw raise
spin clockwise
spin counter clockwise
roll over
send over a jump
weave between my legs
walk backwards
walk with me straddling him
run thru my legs both directions
sing (yodeling howl)

There might be a few more, but I can't think of them. He's a smarty, my guy is!

How did you teach Hi ten?

Puckered kiss? really? That's different how'd you manage that one?

Caney Creek

Boxer Insane
Creek:
sit
shake
switch (shakes with other paw)
down
roll over
"barbwire" (crawl)
speak (bark)
"tell me" (whines like a nut) foolicon
hugs (puts front paws on your shoulders and rests her head on one shoulder)
kisses (licks your face with paws still up on shoulders) (she can alternate between "hugs" and "kisses")
Hi 5
Hi 10 (when she's laying on her back)

Caney:
sit
shake
switch (shakes with other paw)
down
roll over (which she HATES btw, and will usually bark her head off before giving in to)
speak (barks)
"tell me" (tosses her head back and woo-woo's)
up (stands on her back legs and rests front paws on me to hold her up)

And another one we're working on with Caney which is just A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E: BF is a Georgia Bulldogs fan, and has been watching the games every weekend this season. BF says "Gooooooo Dawgs! Sic 'em!" and Caney goes "Wooowoowooowooooo!" It is SO cute :) I'll have to get it on video sometime.... it's been hard to catch because the only time BF gets that excited is during the games, and Caney really feeds off his excitement :) It gets her woo-ing!

Fun tricks --

At 7 months, Bridgette does just the "basics" of sit, down, come, etc. But my favorite is how she plays with cat toys that have pull strings for vibration. She holds the toys with her paws and pulls on the strings herself!
