Here are some ideas.
Kiddy Pools are great except they get hot laying out in the sun.
I used to fill 2 liter soda bottles 3/4 way, freeze them over night and then toss them into the pool to keep it nice and cool.
If your pool is deep enough, they float around and my dog loved to lick them.
Also, fill their drink bowls with ice cubes and let them melt. Crunch crunch crunch all morning and cool water to drink in the afternoon.
When it gets super hot, I keep her in the house and turn up the ac. Its really miserable to see her panting away. I dont mind the extra ten dollars a month for electricity if she is comforatable.
Dont leave your boxers in the sun without shelter! They sunburn! Make sur eyou have some sort of shelter. I put two plywood panels together and made a teepee with two open sides. She gets the breeze and the shelter.
