Tyson has had a bath towel in his crate since the day I brought him home. If it wasn't in there with him he would whine and cry till he had it back. Well the last month he has been tearing it to pieces, everytime I saw him with a piece that was small enough to swallow I would throw it away. Well looks like I didn't throw the whole thing away soon enough.

Last tuesday I came home to a huge mess. Tyson has gotten sick inside his crate and then marinated(for lack of a better word) in it all day. He was going crazy when I walked in the house. I took him outside and tried to clean him up. He went right for the water bowl when he got back inside and drank maybe 8 oz of water, not 10 minutes later that is comming up 3 fold. So now I have 2 messes to clean up and a very sick puppy to deal with. I run him to the vet and they check him out, don't find anything wrong with him and they send me home with some meds to stop the vomiting. At this point the vet and I think he has a virus. Of course the pills don't stop anything so in the morning I take him in for x-rays and blood work. They call me about 5 hours later and tell me he passed a 1 and 1/2 foot long piece of bath towel(that had to hurt) and he hadn't vomitted since. Looks like that was the only piece in him since he is back to his old (9 months) self again. I can't imagine a bath towel tasting good enough to eat let alone good enough to eat 18 inches of.

What a lucky boy! Puppies are like children they will pup anything in their mouths

Ninja likes to eat napkins and tissuessmashicon , go figure. I of course don't allow him to do this, I think that is why he does it

yeah i don't know what it is they like about that. i know they'll eat anything when it comes to food, but TOWELS?? zeus always goes for the stuffing in his toys. the first time he did that and i hadn't realized he ate the stuffing i came home to this gawd-awful smell; he had thrown up the stuffing in the middle of my living room. so now, whenever i see that one stuffed animal has busted a seam, i quickly take it away from him, and either give him a treat or replace it w/a newer one.

Our boxers love to eat static cling sheets. Our oldest one has eaten washing powder twice. Nothing the vets could do. She just had to get it out of her system. It's always interesting when we go poop picking in our back yard. We find things we thought we'd lost such as tops to bottles and our youngest one passed an entire stick, still together. Why did it not tear up his insides? A mystery for the ages.

Ozzy is pretty good he will pick up things and open them up but not eat them. He brings most of the stuff back to his bed. Ryker on the other hand will eat anything, everything toy OZzy has, material, slippers, and I mean eat it!! no trace left!!

In a two week period, 12 inches of Wood window frame, medication bottles & Remotes, we think 4 of them so far. We just thought they where misplaced, blamed each other for it. But when we had to make Gunner vomit (cause he got my medication bottle off the counter & we we had to make sure he didn't eat any- btw he didn't), we found the remains to the latest missing remote in his throw up... we can only assume he ate the others too. Interesting tho that we never found any small pieces of evidence laying around the house.

We now ALWAYS crate again when upsupervised, and have bought 3 more books, ( the ones Tulsa Dan and the rest of you guys suggested-thx btw) to try to figure out what to do about this new separation anxiety.

Don't know why but Sammi has a thing about any type of paper "cleaning" item...napkins, tissues, dryer sheets, etc.
We're pretty lucky as that's about it for inside. When she's outside, she's been known to tear out a few clumps of grass, or a
hydrangea bush (boo-hoo:( ) We've put circles of chicken wire around the bushes that we'd like to save, and she seems to have lost interest, but those paper products just can't be resisted.;)

Be careful with the dryer sheets. They contain all sorts of toxic chemicals. I would dispose of them where your dog can't possibly get hold of them.

my boxer doesn't seem to eat weird things...yet. but my german shepherd is the most disgusting thing ever:eek: she LOVES poop. any animals poop. she scoops it up when we are outside. I thought it was a puppy trait when i was reading about it but shes over a year old now and still LOVES it. she started her heat and we put a pair of underwear on her with a pad...she was in the kennel and I came to find nothing left but her...she ate the underwear!! she eats foam from an old couch...these pieces were about 8 inches in diameter. I know this because she threw them up, then was trying to eat the vomited pieces. foolicon sometimes she throws up the poop she ate and eats that up too by the time i come to clean it...double digestion. she also loves dead things, rotten thing...this is a gross, disgusting, odd dog and i love every bit of her!
