What 'sign' is your boxer?

Leta,
Wow, you are right. Oscar is somewhat independant and tidy. So far, we all seem to get along great. My husband is not so much a charge kind of guy but I think that is because he is the middle born in a family with three boys. He is more easy-going, keep the peace kind of guy. Although he does like it when I need to ask him for help, i.e, getting a jar open, etc. That also might be because he is a guy. AS for me, I think the last part of what you wrote really pertains to me...as I have matured (I'm 22), I have began to be not so "air heady". My mom use to tell me that I'm a genius when it comes to book work but have absolutely no common sense. I think I have evolved from that. I can now find my way out of a paper bag, and have managed to keep my grades up too! I think some of it has to do with moving out when I was just 18 and persuing a degree in nursing...you must find yourself and work on your strenghtening your weaknesses by drawing off your strenghts. Thanks you very much for you info...You have a very interesting topic started :) ;) :)

Oops-did I say 2-12? I meant 2-19(the twelfth is my husband)! Siddartha is sort of cuspy(pisces). I have Libra sun, Sag rising, Aries moon and Mars, Virgo Venus, Sag Mercury.
They say that a Saggitarius only takes one foot out of his mouth to put the other one in.
I agree with what you've said, except about Virgo. I don't find them to be comfortable alone, but it's very important to them that others think that. I find that they, even more than Aquarius, can just become suddenly cold to someone if they decide that they no longer want to be friends(lovers, whatever). When they decide not to care anymore, they just don't. (No that's not based on bitter experience, just observation) Also, I think that they need validation at least as much as Leo-but they don't want anyone to know.
Other than that, I think you are right on the mark! Please understand that I don't mean to say that you are 'wrong'-just that I see it differently. This is one art that is sooooo open to interpretation!

Skye,
Agreed! About the Virgo, they are also said to be hypochondriacs. But the ones I've known are more likely to talk about all the things that are wrong with them and always follow it by reminding you that "you don't hear me complaining about it though!" It kind of follows what you said about them wanting people to 'think' they are loners. I went into more depth about this somewhere in thread where I talked about how they are always up for a game of 'hard to get' and they act mysterious as a way to get others to draw them out. To every down side of a sign there is an up side.

I see you are into this as far as natal charts. I used to play around with that too. Until I did my Scorpio son's chart. He is an 8 planet Scorpio. I don't remember which planets but that kind of percentage was enough to scare me away from doing another natal chart for anyone! (kidding)

I'm a Cancer with a Libra moon and Libra rising. I tell people that means as a Cancer, I would like to collect something but the Libra in me won't let me decide what to collect so I have one of everything! Actually, as I have matured (I'm 35) I have started a collection...of CRABS! I have stuffed ones, wooden ones, resin ones, and even a Swarovski crystal one. My grandson gave me Digger, the Beanie Pals crab for Christmas. I'm married to a Cancer, my boxer is a Cancer, my 15 year old son is a Pisces, and my 6 year old is a Scorpio. One big happy water family!

You're a nurse? What kind of facility do you work at? I work in the records department at a local hospital. I do transcription and diagnosis and procedure coding for the emergency department. Five of the ten ladies in my department are Cancers. Weird, huh?

Leta,
I'm not a nurse. Did I say something to indicate that I was? But I am a hair's breadth away from being a midwife- all I need are more birth attendendances under my belt.
WOW!!!! You must be VERY nurturing! Not to mention sensitive to all kinds of 'vibes'! Is it hard for you to deal with people who don't want to pay their bills? Or who feel that the hospital is 'overcharging' or otherwise out to get them?
Please feel free to e-mail me privately if you would like to talk more along these lines, without the chance of boring those who have less interest in such things. Or if not, whatever.
I once had a friend who had a story-joke about Astrology Dolls- I don't remember all of them, but the Scorpio doll could always be found curled up in the corner of the couch with the Libra doll, cuddling.

I'm a virgo

I just have to say, you're amazing me with this virgo stuff! I have none of those bad traits, of course :D but a lot of it is true! I don't understand that sun rising part though, what does that mean? I was born Aug. 24 1970. You've both piqued my interest.

Robyn,
Skye is going to have to help me with this one. It's been about four years since I have done a natal chart and don't have access to the books anymore. Your rising sign has to do with what time of day you were born. The sign changes every two hours. Your moon, sun, and planets have to do with both what time and where (is it latitude, longitude, or both, Skye?). Each of the planets are in a specific part of the sky or zodiac at the time and place of your birth and this is also said to influence your characteristics.

In other words, using my son as an example, with 8 of his planets in Scorpio, my job for the rest of my life is to keep him from breaking hearts all over the place! What I mean is, he is VERY MUCH a Scorpio. Those whose planets are spread out a little more in the zodiac are a little harder to identify on the surface because they get their characteristics from those other signs as well as their birth sign.

So, it sounds like Skye may still have the books that are required to do a natal chart and I would ask her nicely if she can correct any misinformation I may have just passed on to you and maybe do your chart as well. Sorry, Skye, if you're not willing, please put your foot down now. I'm sure we will all understand. I don't mean to create a problem for you.

For more information, I would check the internet. I am sure there are places to find out what you want to know or go to your local library or book store and ask for help in finding what your looking for. HAPPY STARGAZING!

1)I am perfectly willing to do a chart for someone at no charge, and don't worry, with my Sag rising and Scorpio Mercury, I would definitely not hesitate to put my foot down! Although I also like to do anything I can to help others, I do set my boundaries.
2)Latitude, longitude, and time (to the minute, if possible) are all very important in determining where the various planets are at the time of a reading. Most people are most interested in their birth(natal) charts, but a reading can be done for any event.
3)Very loosely speaking, your sun sign represents your main motivating energy. Moon is your inner self. Rising is how others see you, or the first impression that you give off. Mars is anger or aggression. Venus is love, friendship, sex. Mercury is communication. There are also so-called'outer planets' whose influence is less immediate, more far-reaching.
Of course that is an over-simplification. I used to have a friend who had Leo in his Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Rising. I told him that he looked, felt, talked, and acted like a Leo.
(This did make interpreting his chart easier)
