What is your Boxers most annoying habit?

I agree with all of the above. I cracked up laughing at the username Slobber Marks. We call Britany Slobber Bug because she loves to get a mouth full of food and show you she chewing. Food everywhere. My office has turned into Britany's bedroom. She has food spread everywhere. Her dad will tell her go clean your room. She will duck her head and come in here and start to pick up food. She does this for about two seconds. Then flops herself in her crate and sighs. Attention span of a knat. It could be worse.

You don't know how reassuring it is for me to read all the things your boxers do--I really thought I had a problem dog. Cassie does everything that had been mentioned (except we don't have a litter box-thank goodness!) Another thing Cassie does, she has designated parts of the yard where she goes to the bathroom. Sometimes I'll take her to those places to relieve herself before we go for our walk in the evening and she does it. I take some waste bags just in case, and she never does anything while we walk. On the days I forget to take some waste bags, that's when she messes--in the middle of the street under a streetlight, or in someone's yard right when their motion detection light shines on Cassie squatting!

Thanks for the prompt, Lisa. When I walk my dogs, they almost always poop. Purdy makes it obvious for about a block before she goes, so I can easily choose a nice vacant lot somewhere. She'll sniff around for just the right spot before she goes.
That darned Gilroy will just GO! He doesn't even stop walking half the time! He did it one night right in front of a guy washing his car, right in the guy's driveway. I was mortified!! I cleaned it up, of course, but it was kind of soft so I couldn't get it all.... How embarrasing...

Siddartha is protective by nature, but everyone who comes over is familiar. I live at the end of my road, so there are no passersby. So his instinct is frustrated, which he has solved in a very aggravating way. My husband comes home from work late, around 10:30, or later during holidays, because he's the head chef of a popular local restaurant with lots of tourist traffic. Every night, when my husband opens the door, Sid barks ferociously(just once) and charges over to Bryan. He always gets a 'time out' for this, but he always does it. Of course the kids are in bed by this time, and my floors are tile, so it's extra loud. I guess the kids are used to it, because nobody ever wakes up. He even does it if he's locked up first, or in his crate. The only way to stop him is by putting him into a down-stay BEFORE Bryan gets to the door, but I don't always hear the car pull up.
He also does the late night licking, but with a twist-he lets out a special little grunt along with the licks, which is reserved only for this activity. (He's neutered) I really don't mind the actual licking, since he can't exactly take a shower, and at least it's late at night when he won't be laying his slobbery lips on me soon, but the grunting grosses me out!
He'll come over near you when his slobber-strings are about 6 inches long, and SHAKE! You really have to duck quickly. My 3 year old son actually goes to get a napkin and wipes Sid's face(soooo gently!) when he sees slobber.
Also, I swear he can bruise your leg with his tail! Ouch! Sometimes when he's 'kidney beaning' he whacks himself in the face with it and you can tell it hurts a lot- and this is a dog with a very high pain tolerance.

Max's worst habit is when my wife gets up for work, and I am still sleeping he will jump in bed and eather , (1) Chase the cat and jump in and out till i lock him out of the room, or sleep next to me with his butt on the pillow and right when I am about to go back to sleep he will let one rip!, Never fail right next to my ear! Max & Puckers will steal the cat food if we dont put up the baby gate to keep them out of the kitchen, If we catch Max, he will run into his cage with a look of " I cant help it, its so tasty!" and Puckers will immediatly spit it out and run from us with a trail of cat food falling out of her mouth!

Ana's still a pup, but her sacred mission is to rip off every one of those "DO NOT REMOVE" labels on our upholstered furniture. Many times this is happening right under our nose (or, er...) while we're sitting on the chair. She must be a budding anarchist determined to get us into trouble with the law.

Trevor also poops in the same spot in the backyard! It's funny because one side of our yard is nice and grassy, and the other side (where he pees) is slowly looking like a wasteland. I need to do something about it, but we live on a navy base and I don't want to spruce up a yard that really isn't mine! As long as Trevor has a nice place to use the bathroom, he doesn't mind, so I'm not worried! I thought of another annoying habit too - Since Trevor is a daddy's boy, he never does what I say. Yesterday I took him to a big field on the base to run and play ball. A jogger came running by with a weimeraner, and Trevor took off to play with the dog. I was so embarrassed because I'm hollering for him to come back but he didn't. The jogger helped me out by telling his dog to sit and stay (something Trevor wouldn't do unless my husband told him) so I could put Trevor back on his leash!

annoying habits

Lady's most annoying habit is when it is bed time she always desides that she should sleep in my spot of the bed and then she hates it when I move her. So when she finally gets moved, she trys to shove me off the bed by continously pushing me over. But I love her so much and her annoying habits are still adorable. Even if she jumps up and hits men where they don't apreaciate her much, but that doesn't bother me so much.

This is a great thread! so funny.
I have only had 2 year old casserole for a week as she was a stray from the pound. Interesting to see her habits develop.
I hate the slobber on my work clothes especially with chunky bits of food in it. mmm mmm.
she loves to sit on my lap and block my view of the tv, or if I am reading on the floor she has to sit on top of my paperwork so I cant get to it.
When I am not paying her enough attention she sighs letting her cheeks bubble out a couple of times... always reward that with a lot of kissing I cant help myself.
But her most adorable habit is when she is excited and is walking in front of you. She tries to keep walking and look at you at the same time... the doughnut dance!!!! Almost always trips over herself. crazy baby!!!

Sidney's most annoying habit would have to be after she eats or drinks water she comes into what ever room we are in and wipes her cheeks on the couch, the pillows on the couch, or on our arms, legs, or what ever she can........YUCK...... we are like human napkins to her ......
