I would like to know some of the things that make other boxers scared. My 10 month old Boxer Crown is very scared of the bags that his food comes in. This may sound cruel, but I have to share this with BW community. On night Crown was following me around house, like he always does. I started dumping two forty pound bags of dog food into a stay fresh container when the bag was empty I put it on the floor next to Crown and he took off running, so I followed him. All the time I was followg him I tried to ease his fears by calmly showg that the bag is harmless. That little intervention didn't wrk, so I put the bag up. I found him in a dark corner just sitting there, so I wondered how long he would sit there if he was surrounded by the bags. I took the bags and made a little fortress around him and walked away. I looked back to see if he was followg like he usually do, no such luck. He sat in the dog food bag fortress scared to move. I would call him, offer treats, but no movement. I finally felt bad for him and let him out. I have never seen a dog that was scared of the bag his food came in. I have pictures of this. I will be uploading them soon.

Well, the list is long, but I have to say our girl is most afraid of the vaccum, now mind you, she'll chase after us on the mower, or the quads, but there is just something about the vaccum. I guess maybe because its in the house, at close quarters, who knows.

Chewy is afraid of nothing - not even the vacuum. He'll purposely lie in the path of the vacuum, and you have to bump him with it to get him to move.

Stella's list, however, is LONG. She's afraid of everything - the vacuum, broom, furniture, moving her crate, and even the tape measure. Don't know why she's such a chicken - she just always has been.

I am not sure if scared is the right word for Krose but sudden loud noises definitely alert him. He has to find out where that sound comes from.

The only thing she is really afraid of is fireworks and gunfire. They terrify her.
We usually take our walks on base. They have a walking trail over 6 miles long. One day we were on the trail and as we were going by the firing range when they started firing. I hadn't expected that, being a Saturday. But I remembered it was Reservist weekend.
Poor Powder freaked out. It was everything I could to control her. We quickly ran back to the car and went to a nearby park.
Now I look at the schedule to see when their weekend is and go somewhere else to walk.

The onlh thing I've notice w/ Nikki (7 months old) is that she's afraid of loud noises. When she's in the back yard and the neighbour next door is banging away on something she runs right for the doors to get in the house. lol.
but otherwise she's so bravely, lol...

Elvis, who I have had since 6 weeks, seems to be afraid of nothing now! He's a pretty dare devil dog and loud noises dont seem to bother him as much as when he was a pup.
On the other hand, Daxx, who we got at 16 months and have only had for a week is afraid of everything. Anything Loud he cowers. But even in a week we have seen big changes in his personality. Having been told he had to be lifted into a truck, today he jumped on a 3 feet high wall that he had never seen before today. :D I can tell though that he still is very insecure about things, definitly craves security.

Brandy & Baylee both HATE storms! I always know they are coming Baylee starts panting & shaking. But they also don't like the broom, we have a little game we play with the broom. When I sweep I always stomp the broom on the ground to knock the excess dirt onto the floor. Well they jump and bark at me when I do this it is too funny because they also box at it. Lighters & Matches for some reason Baylee freaks out when she even sees them & we don't even smoke, she won't even go in the kitchen when a candle is lit. LOL The hairdryer neither one of them like either they will jump at it when I am doing my hair though. One last thing is gunshots. Well he was outside trying to get a ground hog & the girls were freaking. They even see any gun and they go hide. We live on quite a bit of acreage so we hear guns pretty often especially during deer season.

Even beginning to think of what to write has me laughing. Buster we have had since 6 weeks and he is really afraid of only two things: cords and the baby gate. He used to run around our table when he was a pup - well we had a cell phone plugged into the wall with the cord across the walkway while it lay on the table charging. He tore through and run right into the cord knocking the phone to the floor. He took off running and never looked back. If a ball rolls under a cord he will sit and bark at it until you get it. The baby gate, well just picture him knocking that over and the noise from it. He will run the other way every time you even pretend to touch it.

Our girl we recently adopted is afraid of just about everything. Its funny sometimes but mostly sad. We found her biggest fear to be any kind of newspaper or magazine that you have in your hand. We were swatting flies with a paper and she panicked and was shaking. It was horrible. Needless to say we never do that anymore.

Anyways, I am sure there are lots of stories we could all share, thanks for letting me ramble.
